This place is unbelievable! It used to have a good reputation. Don't make the same mistake I did and go on the old reputation. Go see it before you get there. My dad was admitted to get some PT to make him stronger after a hospital stay. In a four day time span he had a PT evaluation and two PT sessions. His first night there they checked on him once at 1:30 AM and the nurse told me she would be back to take his vital signs and I never saw her again! They could not get his medications right. They skipped some. They did not follow the hospital discharge papers at all. He was on a low sodium/cardiac diet and they sent him a ham sandwich and a pickle for dinner. The food is horrible. He was there for 4 days before he received a facecloth and towel. Not helpful for a man who's incontinent. The care is just unconscionable! They say in the welcome literature that you have privacy yet you can NEVER close the door. It's the policy! The smell of toast at midnight, the clanging of dishes, the janitor with his machines in the halls, the noise was unbelievable! There is no privacy what so ever! The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing! The sheets have holes in them, I couldn't decide if I wanted his toes in the holes or his fingers! He waited three days for a suppository so I finally said forget it! I'll bring him some salads and it will all work out okay. All I can say is BEWARE! and choose a better spot for your loved one!

Both of my parents, age 93 and 91, had overlapping stays in the rehab wing of Langdon Place of Dover for several weeks, my mother after a heart valve replacement, my father after a hospital stay due to severe bronchitis. At this time, my mother is back home, but my father is still there for a bit longer. I cannot say enough about the beautiful, immaculate facility and the high-quality, professional care and personalized attention that they each received. From PT, OT, speech therapy, doctor's visits and general nursing care to the well-prepared meals, I have been relieved to see how well taken care of they were while there. I have been able to leave after my visits knowing that every need, no matter how small, will be promptly and professionally addressed. According to my mother, staying there was like being in a "spa!" Thank you to all of the staff people and administrators there who made their stay so warm, comforting and welcoming.

Langdon is a facility that puts on a good show for visitors. The PT staff is very good. The biggest two downfalls are the staff that does not work as a team. If it is not included in their job description they may not do something that is needed. I have been passed from one person to another to get something resolved. Administration is oblivious to the daily goings on and rarely visible or available to talk to.

my father was supposed to be made stronger so he could leave and start chemo and radiation for lung cancer. He died at langdon place rehab center. He would complain that his food was always cold when it was brought to him so he could not eat it.When they were giving out the food his room was the last to get it and it was always cold.Staff had to be told by me when my dad had nose bleeds pain ect.My dad said that the night shift did not check on him and one night he had a nose bleed and when I saw him the next morning there was blood still on the floor.
