poorly managed facility; had relative there-when visited, staff were no where to be found. This occurred regularly. The Administrator {a young woman} was nasty when I asked a question about this. The equipment is very old. ok for nursing home, but not sub-acute needs.

Berkley Heights Nursing & Rehab is a farce of a facility. Their method of supplying oxygen is a portable generator with a loud motor running 24/7 next to the head of the patient. This patient died when no staff member cleaned patient's tube. Patient was allowed to suffocate! A technician told the nurse on duty, "I don't think Patient X is breathing"... and patient wasn't. When the family arrived and asked to see the medical records, they would NOT show them. The question was,"When was the patient last seen? When was the tube last cleaned?" Doesn't matter now, except to prevent this from happening to another family's loved one.
