I stayed here in 2014 for a month and again in 2016 for a month. I felt the staff was much better in 2014. Most of the good ones are gone. Response time when you press the button for help averages 20 minutes. Even after the CNA finally comes, they do not communicate your needs to the nurse in charge. I had to wait a couple of hours for a pain pill. When you're in pain and ring the bell, wait 20 mins for the CNA to see what you need, tell them you need the nurse to bring you pain meds and then wait 2 hours more for the nurse to come only to find out that the nurse was never told you wanted pain meds by the CNA. I made several complaints while I was there, and felt that my complaints fell on deaf ears. Nothing changed. I will NEVER go here again. If you love your loved ones, this is not the place to put them.

Do not believe the 5 star reviews for this place! This was a horrible experience for our family! There was no communication between staff members, they would make patients wait for help for 20 minutes or more ( I actually timed them), some of the staff were nasty and dismissive, and any complaints fell on deaf ears. Never again!

PLEASE, Please do not put your loved-one in this place. My mom went here to rehab from a broken patella. Within less than ten days she developed a c dif infection and pneumonia. You are not allowed to be treated by your own doctor and the in-house "doctor" prescribed oral antibiotics despite the fact that she could not keep them down. Long story short, she spent a month in CCU and passed away last month. Despite using the Meridian name, they do not share any services with the hospital. My mom has to wait for prescriptions to come from Linden, despite the fact that the hospital has a pharmacy and is about 100 feet away. Anyone considering a nursing home for their loved-one should become fully informed on c diff infections and institutional pneumonia, which are pervasive in many such facilities.
