I recently has a stay at Wedgwood Gardens and i felt like i was at home. The Social Workers were very caring, the CNA's were very nice, and the nurses provided me with top notch care.

These positive reviews sound like they were written by staff members as the atmosphere we experienced while my loved one stayed there was mostly NOT POSITIVE. During the week, the staff was definitely more qualifed than the night and weekend staff. The night and weekend staff are not qualified nor do they have the compassion, social skills and human decency to work in a facility with elder adults. They also all seem to be in a "clique". They are also rude to the relatives and basically ignore the patients. You can ring the bell multiple times and no one comes in. The way they treat the patients that can not get out of bed on their own during the night is terrible. Telling them if they ring the bell, they are not coming anyway, pee in your diaper - I could go on and on. If we are ever faced in putting our loved one in a rehab facility again, we will NEVER let them go to Wedgwood Gardens. The management needs to take a look at whats going on there and who is being hired for night and weekend shifts.

I just want to thank the staff at Wedgwood Gardens for caring for my grandfather who was recently discharged after having a long stay at the hospital. The Nursing care is on point and the Therapy dept is wonderful. I have no complaints about this facility and would even stay there myself.. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone

DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!!! Members of the staff, including the night nurse supervisor were beligerent and neglectful of my loved one, even in my opinion jeopardizing her health. My loved one was refused a bed pan by an aide who was 15 minutes from ending her shift. Another aide suggested they leave soiled linens under her the night she arrived. My loved one's roomate complained of being mistreated and she stated to me the staff was mean and miserable. I tried to speak to three different staff members about a serious confusion regarding my loved one's medical treatment and was hung up on by all three staff members, including the nurse supervisor, from whom I would have expected a certain level of professionalism. No one should be subjected to such blatant disregard for patient dignity, rights and care. I am reporting this facility to Office of Ombudsman, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, the Board of Health and the State Department of Health. I urge you not to send a sick or elderly loved one to this facility!

I could not have asked for a more positive experience; I wonder if the previous writer was in the same place as me? Maybe he should blame his doctor or hospital for not communicating with Wedgwood about his arrival. I did my research before going to Wedgwood to recover from my knee replacement. They are noted to have the best staffing ratio in the area, about an hour more than any other place per patient daily! Why on earth would anyone expect 4 aides to 1 patient?? I had therapy 2 hours a day, the staff was warm, friendly and accomodating, the building was clean. I'm going back when I have my other knee done this summer.

Upon entering this facility I was greeted by a staff that had no knowledge of my coming. THe admissions leaves at 4pm and no one checks the voice mail after that. I arrived at 8:15 to a hostile enviornment at best. I was deceived from the begining and was told things that were not true and things were ommitted
I was told 2 1/2 hours of rehab a day NOT TRUEI was NEVER told I could only shower every other day and some patients only showered once a week. There are long term care patients that are allowed to roam through the halls and through your rooms. I am extremely unhappy with the treatment .Low supplies and some attitudes. Some of the aides and nurses were wonderful but the facility is understaffed and when I was originally looking for a facility I was told they have 4 aides to every patient...again deception. I could go on and on but will be contacting the newspaper and senior advocated to see if anything I have to share will make a difference. This would be the last place I would go or recommend to have a loved one attend

The staff is very friendly, caring and accommodating for visitors and residents... clean and hotel-like atmosphere. Nice outdoor courtyards for gathering with family in good weather.

CentraState is an awful hospital; think of it more as a first aid station.
