This place is terrible. Please spare a loved one from going through what my mother did. Her glasses were stolen, had 3 falls while in their care and they missed giving her chemo medication for over a week. Needless to say I brought her home early. They should be ashamed of themselves!

My mom is currently in Bristol Manor Nursing Home, in Rochelle Park, NJ. I need to move her because this place is a nightmare. I'm afraid of moving her to another place that is just like it. From what I've heard, and read, it is very hard to find a place that is not a nightmare, but I do believe that a couple of them exist. Please, if you know of one in the area, email me: [email protected] It would be greatly appreciated. I was considering this place, but now I'm concerned.

This facility considers itself a "sub-acute care" facility; however this is completely inaccurate. Although the services provided may be fine for the short-term care of those who have had fairly routine procedures---such as a knee or hip replacement---this is NOT a facility for those who are in need of more serious medical attention. The primary function of the nursing staff is dispensing medication. They are not attentive to changes in mental, physical or emotional status which may be indicative of a more serious problem. They do not seriously consider information provided to them by the family, nor are they diligent in scheduling required doctor's appointments. No one monitors whether or not a patient is or is not eating properly. Many of the aids and nurses on the late night shifts are unresponsive---and even surly! They turn the call button off whether or not they have assisted the patient, in order to meet their response time requirements.
The nurses---and house physician---are slow to identify critical situations, and so wait too long before moving a patient to the hospital.
I would not recommend this facility to anyone whose loved one requires more than the most rudimentary of health care---and perhaps not even then.

Don't consider this facility if u have a serious medical issue. They do not monitor patients closely.

If you are looking for a nursing that will provide attention and care to your loved one...DO NOT SEND THEM TO CARE ONE AT WELLINGTON, Hackensack NJ. My father has been there for about 4 wks now and it has been a horrifying experience.

Response: I had almost the exact experience. Someone should do something. They leave patients in the hallway and ignore them. My mother would wait HOURS to changed, for food, medication, horrible place, I wouldn't send my pet mouse to them.

Response: Thank you for the review. This is absolutely horrifying. Especially when moms' doctor highly recommended the facility
