BEWARE - this is no place for someone you love. One evening I buzzed 4 times for help and no one came. As I was heading downstairs for someone, an aide met me at the elevator and told me "the system was down." See comment from lady whose poor husband lay on the floor for ten hours a few years before. It is still happening today.
We paid for the higher level of care and was assured he would receive it. He entered walking on his own and talking and left less than a month and a half later he was rushed to the hospital "unresponsive."
He entered walking on his on and talking and left

Here it is 5/19/2014 and the memory is still so fresh in my mind and still waiting for an apology. I wrote on 02/02/2010. With a history of frequent falls and status post fractured elbow with a pin insertion my father was wheeled to his room after his dinner and just left. Realizing that no one was coming back to assist him with his evening care he made his way to the bathroom. While standing in the bathroom he fell hitting his side on the bathtub. He laid on the bathroom floor for 10 hours before someone came to check on him. Four fractured ribs, dehydrated and traumatized he was sent to the ER. MY FATHER DIED 4 WEEKS LATER HE NEVER SHOULD HAVE DIED LIKE THIS !!!!! Failure to provide care as agreed. Pure NEGLECT!!!

They stole all my mom's jewelry they are a bunch of thieves and that Patsy Disler did nothing... They are the worst.

Response: I have had my Mom at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living for quiet a few years from day one speaking to Patsy Distler and then upon movein and even after that Patsy Distler was concerned, kind and extremely heplful. In regards to your Mothers jewely what did you expect Patsy to do she is not a member of the police force. She is a Director of Sales. Comments like this are unecessary and it is not right to discredit someones character like you did. Call the police dept they are in charge of theft.

My mother lived at this community for several years and she always spoke of her designated care managers' like they were her own children. I would highly recommend this community to my closest family and friends.

I thought the place looked clean - staff was very friendly. However, the referral we were given to help with veterans benefits for my parent was a ruse. After giving this individual my parent's ss # and financial infomation under the guise of securing veterans benefits, we have hear NOTHING for months. I have inquired as to the status and received NO reply. Perhaps the administrative staff at Brighton Gardens should do their homework before handing out referrals.

My grand mother was very happy here and always spoke highly of the staff and food. She made several friends while she was there and was happier than she had been in a long time.

Response: Make sure she doesnt fall and need assistance
