Brandywine Senior Living in Moorestown has a great rehab facility that makes it very comfortable for a senior to transition back into their apartment. The staff is very hard working and diligent. The atmosphere is very comfortable for its residents.

The assited living part of this senior facility is actually very nice and the residents seem very pleased with the care they receive - I think anyone going to those levels of care would be pleased. The rehabilitation and long term care side is an entirely different experience. The facility is not really equiped to run a long term care facility: 1) The nurse aide staff have serious educational deficiencies - very crass, uneducated in regard to understanding the needs of someone in rehab or of senior citizens, also rude to and disrespectful of the elderly; 2) The rooms are very dirty (The furniture is shabby and broken, the bathrooms reek of urine) and not homey at all - the long term care/rehab looks like a hospital setting; 3) Rather than taking action regarding complaints, they are instead defensive and slow to follow-up although in all fairness after multiple complaints they are trying to do better for my family member; and 4) Patients requiring more than the average amount of assistance are parked outside of the nurses station like problem children or are left in their rooms.
The food is good, although meal requests often go unanswered. The activities people are delightful and do their best to engage patients when the aides manage to get the patients to activities. The LPN's for the most part are helpful.
I feel as if it has been a battle to make sure my family member is treated appropriately so I could not in good conscience recommend the rehab-LTC part of this facility to anyone. I am actively pursuing transfer for my loved one.
