I can't figure out how to tag this @#$% place. It's my Google review for Care One for seniors in Wall Township, NJ.

This place LITERALLY tried to kill my grandfather. He's on comfort care with pneumonia, ON CHRISTMAS EVE, on his very first arrival date from the hospital. I went to visit him early this evening, I stayed until visiting hours were over and then left. HOWEVER..... my mother and stepfather were on their way.

But they didn't know that.

I gave my mother the security code to the elevator, and what did my mother and stepfather find???

Nobody. Nobody working the floor, the nurses station abandoned. But when they went to my grandfather's room there was my grandfather.... lying bare on his bed, no clothes, no blankets, no comfort, and with the WINDOW OPEN!!! It is 35 degrees outside!!!

They spoke with a cleaning lady, she was the only person they could find and she barely spoke English. They covered him up and closed the window Then they ran home

I went back there to confront them then called the police. The police came and investigated, my grandfather pointed and told the police they opened the window. He was crying and squeezing my hand for help.

This LITERALLY just happened. On Christmas Eve. I'll be back all night tonight checking on him, and then getting him the hell out of there.

If you LOVE your loved ones, DON''T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

They desperately want me to change this review.. okay I will. Now that my grandfather has passed. This place is horrific. He was too weak to move, so I had to pretty much move in and stay by my grandfather's side 24/7 to ensure he was cared for.

The first night, after the initial review, the nurses said they had to change him and asked me to step out of the room. I said absolutely not. They looked at each other and then tried using their body to hide the completely soiled diaper and 6" off padding under his butt to soak up excess urine. They were very harsh moving him as he screamed out in pain, even though I was standing right there. Then when I saw he was very fidgety I went to the nurse and asked when he was given his medication last. He was discharged from the hospital on ativan and morphine. They had no medication to give him!!! They never planned on giving him any. They had to call someone at 1 a.m. for medication and I held his hands for an additional 2 hours while he groaned in pain and fidgeted with his blankets until it finally arrived.

The next few days were hell. The nurses are cold as ice and cruel to their patients. If you need one at night they are nowhere to be found. I firmly believe they tried to kill him. Why? I have no idea. But thank God my mother and stepfather came late that night and saw what they did. He is too good of a man to die like that, nobody deserves to die like that.

Like I said before, if you love your loved one, and want them to be cared for, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO SEND THEM.

    Stay far far away,
My Uncle was here for 3 weeks in Decemeber 2016
They charged us 12k a month.
They also advised us to get a one on one for an additional $400 per day.
A Joke all they did was play on cell phones and steal our money.....
We did as they recommended, lets see he fell out of the bed under 24 hour one on one care, was left in a dirty diaper for 10 hours plus daily, not cleaned daily, left in dirty clothes for 4 days at a time, found blood stains on his sheets several times. (Bio Hazards) due to IV.
You would think for that amount of money he would he treated great.
He was treated like a piece of trash.
He passed away there, was wife was called 35 minutes after he was given morphine for the first time.
The neglected him and eventually killed him.
All this place want is money people are just another piece of meat.

    More to come.
I will expose them to the media...

My mother stayed at Care-One for one month under hospice care. The staff was so inattentive that I had to hire additional care givers to come in to take care of her because I could not rely on the staff at Care-One. Often times I would walk in to find the phone out of reach and the call button on the floor. The staff rarely, if ever, tried to engage my mother in conversation or even refer to her by name. The water my mother was given was from the tap. Her dietary requests were rarely met and even when they were the food was inedible. While all of this is horrible, it pales in comparison to the lack of air conditioning on the second floor. In the summer months the air conditioning is non existent. Three days before my mother passed away the temperature in her room was 85 degrees. It was inhuman to treat someone that way. While I was a strong advocate for my mother, many at the facility have no one to vocalize their issues and they are left to scream for help in the halls. In most cases, their screams are ignored. I'm surprised Care-One has not been shut down by the Board of Health or sued by one of their patients. Care-One made what was the most difficult time in my life and my mother's life even worse. If I felt my mother could have been successfully moved, I would have moved her to another facility within the first week. The management should hang their heads in shame treating the elderly in such inhuman conditions.

Beware. Please do not leave your loved ones at Care One. The nurses are underexperienced and not interested in their patients' well being.
