My mother was sent there to recover from a head injury. Not enough staff. Had bed alarm that went off 3 times while I was there, no one around to hear it let alone come to see if she had fallen out of bed. Let her dehydrate and another acute hospital visit followed after we had to insist on having MD called. Aides were slow did not always seemed to understand English. Because of not feeling comfortable with facility had to hire private aide for 12 hours per day to watch my mother at night. (very expensive). Family members were there much of the day and it was extremely difficult getting anyone to do
anything for my mother. If she was left alone I can't image what would have happened. Very poor care.

My father was at CareOne (sub-acute setting) in Wayne for one month. The care he received was outstanding. The nurses were attentive, professional and very response to his needs. The physical and occupational therapists were excellent (I'm in the field so I have a basis for comparison). His doctor checked in on my father 2 to 3 times every week. The food was excellent (about 75% of the time). The support staff also was very good. I would recommend CareOne to anyone in need of short-term or long-term care.

The daytime head nurse is arrongant and obnoxious. Menu requests are routinely disregarded. Complaints result in lip service. The nicest people there were the cleaning people.

this place is 5 stars for dogs maybe. staff does not understand english, my husband was literally forced into a weigth chair after major back surgery, and had to be xrayed for damages. no pain killers given for hours, bells left unanswered, the place looks nice when you walk in, the patients rooms are dirty, bathroom and germs are shared. do not leave a loved one here, i had to go at 4am and remove my husband by ambulance due to no one answering bell,, i drove 20 miles and got there by the time they did

Elevate your standard of living and experience excellent assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing and rehab services at CareOne at Wayne. The assisted living program at CareOne at Wayne offers the same exciting life enrichment activities and freedom as that of the independent living residents, but seniors in assisted living receive an added layer of care and security. When they need a reliable hand with services like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine properly, it is there for them. Assisted living communities have many benefits. Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to more satisfaction with life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly apartments and a busy social calendar. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a plethora of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. You'll have your own private space, so you can bring your favorite furniture, photos, and cookware. You’ll be able to spend time pursuing activities that you enjoy since tasks commonly associated with homeownership will be taken care of. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. The staff at CareOne at Wayne has a special place in its collective heart for residents and their families who must deal, day by day, with the daily effects of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Alzheimer’s specialists work hand-in-hand with families, loved ones, and the CareOne at Wayne staff to ensure that residents receive the comprehensive treatment they need. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a team that is professionally trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment provide cognitive stimulation. Facilities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Nursing home care offers the highest level of care in the senior living continuum. Licensed nurses and a skilled staff are accessible 24/7 to address any health issues and help with any daily activities, including grooming, bathing, and mobility. Most residents share a room, with healthy meals provided in a central dining room. An activity director coordinates an activity and events plan to encourage mental, physical, and social health. CareOne at Wayne helps seniors find the worry-free lifestyle they want. In this community, residents have comprehensive assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing and rehab services, as well as a friendly, supportive community. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help when you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as self-sufficient as possible. When seniors are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Memory care necessitates a more direct level of care, brain games designed for memory enhancement, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. A nursing home is for those who cannot be cared for at home but who do not need hospital care. At CareOne at Wayne, seniors find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably.
