Response: Do the owner of the nursing this nursing home sleeps well at night?

Response: My God,that place is poor hell!I will never forgive what they did to my husband, and that made me take him out of that place. They have criminals working there. My husband passed away on 6/21/2014.! cry every time i think about what that criminal did to him a month before he died.I got at the nursing home at !:30 PM,and I was surprised to see his door closed, and I opened the door I found him with half of his body on the bed and the other half hanging on the bed .hi told me that he was not feeling well and he asked to go to bed,but nobody wanted to take him ,so he tried to go by himself ,but he fell down.He said the he was yelling for help ,and when somebody came ,instead of help him the person closed the door and left.He was in that position for 30 minutes ,and if I had not going there he would have to stay in that same position until somebody would find him.He had Parkinson's and also respiratory problem. When I spoke to one of the works she was very nest and said she was going to call somebody to put him in bed .A guy came marching in the room like a mad room complaining that he was on his brake .He took my husband by one arm and left the room again like a mad man.My husband asked me not to complain because the reason they did that was I complaint before and that was the reason they were upset .I took my husband out as soon as I could. Please,do not put your relative there. The place is run by the aids .They get away with everything because the nursing home wants to keep them because they are under paid .They do not care about the residents at all.

06/06/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: The garden .

02/26/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: THE STATE AND THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT MOST LIKELY KNOW ABOUT THE ROACH PROBLEM THAT SOME PEOPLE REPORT ABOUT THIS PLACE, BUT THEY DONT WANT TO DO ANYTHING. NOBODY WANTS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE ELDERLY POPULATION. I HAD MY MOTHER IN THIS PLACE AND I WAS VISITING HER EVERYDAY WHILE SHE WAS A RESIDENT. SHE DIED IN TWO WEEKS OF NEGLECT. THE NURSES WRITE SELF SERVING STATEMENTS IN THE PATIENTS' CHARTS THAT WOULD HELP THEM IN CASE OF A LAWSUIT. THEY ALL STICK TOGETHER AND ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF THE VERY SICK OR WHEELCHAIR BOUND PATIENTS. WHEN THEY SEE A FAMILY MEMBER COMES TO VISIT THE PATIENT THEY PUT A DIFFERENT FACE TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK GOOD. ONCE THE FAMILY MEMBER LEAVES THEY GO BACK TO THEIR " NORMAL " ROUTINE. MY MOTHER TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE HER WATER. I SAW HER SEVERAL TIMES IN THE DINING ROOM SITTING AT A TABLE WITH HER FOOD ON THE TRAY NOT BEING ABLE TO FEED HERSELF WITH NO ONE AROUND. SHE HIT HER FACE MORE THAN ONCE AND SHE TOLD ME THOSE PEOPLE DID NOT EVEN BOTHER PUTTING ICE ON HER. THIS PLACE LIKE MANY OTHER NURSING HOMES BRAG THAT THEY ARE THE BEST JUST TO ATTRACT PEOPLE AND FILL UP THE SPACES SO THEY CAN MAKE MONEY FROM MEDICARE AND MEDICAID WHICH DO NOT GIVE A @#$% ABOUT WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENES. THE POLICE DO NOT CARE BECAUSE THERE IS NO " EVIDENCE ". THESE PLACES KILL PEOPLE AND IF YOU WANT TO SEND YOUR RELATIVES HERE YOU MIND AS WELL SEND THEM STRAIGHT TO THE FUNERAL HOME. THESE PEOPLE STICK TOGETHER BECAUSE THAT IS HOW THEY ARE TRAINED TO DO TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. THEY ARE A SECURITY GUARD THAT LOOKS MORE LIKE A GANGSTER AT THE ENTRANCE NOT TO PROTECT THE RESIDENTS BUT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. THEY CLAIM THEY ARE AGAINST ELDERLY ABUSE, AGAIN , JUST TO MASK THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION THAT GOES ON IN THAT PLACE. THEY ARE ALL INSENSITIVE, CARELESS, DIRTY, HEARTLESS ANIMALS THAT WORK THERE. I HOPE THAT SOMEDAY THIS PLACES GETS SHUT DOWN FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR VULNERABLE CITIZENS WHO CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES. THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD AND ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS FILLING IN THE ROOMS SO THEY CAN CHARGE THE STATE MORE MONEY. IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY NOT ABOUT CARE. DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS BECAUSE MOST LIKELY THEY WROTE IT THEMSELVES TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK BETTER. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT GOES ON IN THESE PLACES UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN IT YOURSELF, AND I HAVE SEEN IT. DO NOT TRUST NURSING HOMES ANYWHERE. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE. THIS PLACE IS EVIL.

Response: Agree with you 100%. I took a picture of a roach, or could have been a waterbug based on the size, and sat and watched as employee after employee walked by and did nothing. I went to housecleaning staff and told them about the large bug on its back in the middle of the hallway (by the cafeteria no less). It was gone next time I went by.

12/26/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: After the passing of my wife's aunt, a long time resident of the Hebrew Home for the Aged Assisted Living Facility, we were told that the Security Deposit would not be refunded because she died without giving the required 30 day advance notice, as specified in the Lease Agreement.

Response: I like the garden and the Cat

Response: Yes,but not even the cat has a brake. Some times he is left in the cold for a long time.

    Response: Money,money,money...

12/05/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Staff is very disrespectful to residents. They ignore their requests. They can die while waiting for an "emergency" request.

    Response: I agree 100%

Response: WERE YOU THERE ALL THE TIME? I DO NOT THINK SO.

09/13/2012 An Current/Past Resident Writes: it was everything it said it would be. Most grateful for all they did for my father who was not the easiest person. God bless the Hebrew Home

Response: Were you all the time?

07/19/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: cleanliness is questionable,; menus below average; live roaches visible; continuity of staff is poor; great deal of groaning, mmoaning can be heard most times. am not familiar with other facilities but am very disappointed in the over all care of this one.

03/23/2012 An OurParents User Writes: I noticed that the cloth of one of your residents,mi friend, was full of stains afther being washed on your premises, I also noticed that he had a flaki skin condition that nobody pay atention to it even afther I mentined to one of your staff members.
I do not spect this tipe of negligence in such a expensive and fancy nursery home as yours, there is not excuse for this sort of things, not even in a free nursery home if there is such a thing.

12/03/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: It seemed to offer so much and it turned out it was meaningless because unless you hire private help to take your loved one outside or to activities NOTHING happens. If your loved one is autonomous, either with a walker or mechanized wheelchair, they can get out of the room and off the floor - otherwise there is no transport staff and the aides apparently don't have time to smile, let alone care. Necessities happen (like physical therapy, religious services), but niceties do not (like haircut, crocheting, etc.) Likely if you get lucky you will have support staff that is compassionate and caring, but if you don't get lucky, get out. After 2 weeks I saw the writing on the wall and moved my loved one out. Very disappointing.

11/06/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: lack of communication among staff in different specialties

03/30/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: My mother has been in this nursing home for 8 years. At first, when she was mobile and relatively high functioning, I was very pleased with the services. Over the years though, as her health has failed (some dementia, wheel-chair bound due to a fall, diabetic), I have more and more concerns about the level of care she is receiving. When I visit she never is wearing her hearing aids or her glasses and a few times her nails were very long. I complain and things get better for a while and then revert back to usual. If I did not visit I shudder to think what her life would be like. A warning to prospective patients - have friends or relatives set up a regular visition schedule to oversee care.

Response: They abused my relative in front of me!

Response: MONEY BUYS EVERY THING,BUT YOU DO NOT TAKE WITH YOU WHEN YOU GO.

07/06/2010 An OurParents User Writes: a well-kept secret for exceptional rehab. A sub-acute facility with wonderfulpt&Ot specialists. But for thetwo hours of therapy a day you pay for it with 222 hours of mediocre attention by stressed out staff, dingy facilities(on the rehab floor) patients are left in wheel chairs in a lounge area devoid of anything except a row of straight back chairs against awall. roomslacksimple amenties like comfortable chairsfor either patientsorguests. Understand long term care is great and patients withprivate means are treated to twoluuxury flooors that loklike ritz carltons.

    Response: Five stars?What a gut!
