The memory care unit is horrible. They just put them in wheelchairs and ignore the residents. Most times the nursing station is unmanned. The staff obviously has no training for dementia or alzheimers in even the most basic academic sense. The alarms are ignored. Their pat answer is "they all do that." As if the residents aren't human. They simply locked 2 doors, put all residents in wheel chairs and call it memory care. I cant wait to get my mother out of this hell hole. No activities, no concern for the well being, and the staff disappears for hours while the residents yell for help and alarms go off...and get the wheel chairs stuck together. Horrible place.

I came here for rehabilitation after nee surgery and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and caring staff. They were all helpful and friendly and made sure my Therapy went as planned. I was discharged home and will miss the great people I met at Carillon. They were very professional.

My uncle came to Carillon after a broken hip. He was very confused after surgery. The staff were wonderful. They were very understanding and responsive. He slowly improved and is back to his old self. The care was wonderful and the staff were very sensitive to his needs. I highly recommend this facility.

90 percent of the nurses aids should be terminated ,responce to call bell for help 30 minutes or more, nasty responces, bath rooms filthy dirty, not cleaned after patients use, meals wait in hall at least 20 to 25 minutes befroe being served with the excuse they were helping someone, watching them clique up bs'n with each other. It was a big joke to at least 90 percent of them. this should be looked into.

Response: I totally agree with you, the bathrooms are disgusting. One or two
Of the nurses aides were exceptional, the rest should be fired. They don't show for 30 minutes or better, when you get out of bed to go to the bathroom they yell at you. I was tired of having accidents and being put into diapers so as not to wet the bed

My aunt was living be herself and her dementia was getting worse. We found that Carillon has a Dementia unit and brought her there. The staff were so caring and loving. My aunt is so much happier and content. She is always well dressed and they take the time to let her decide what to wear and do. We made the right choice!

My uncle was admitted to Carillon after he fell and broke his hip. In the hospital, he was confused, agitated and not eating. We admitted him to Carillon for Rehab but thought that this was the end for him. The Nursing staff were wonderfully caring and reassuring. They coaxed him to eat and respond. He went to therapy and now is walking with his walker, again. He has his old sense of humor back and has regained weight. At his follow-up appointment, the Orthopedic surgeon could not believe my uncle is the same person same person from the hospital! This facility is wonderful!

Carillon will not release my parent. We were told the doctor only comes in once a week so she needs to be there for another 10 days as the doctor is only in on Wednesday. We have been told that if we try to release her that her bills will not be covered. Would you put your parent here?
