02/15/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: I had a family member at this facility. They are all liars. They cover for each other. They missed diagnosed my mom. They are all out for the money. Nobody cares about the elderly. It's a job. It is one of the worst facilities, I would not even put my worse enemy in a place like this. They are lined in the hallways like cattle. Nothing for the elderly to do. Food is horrible. Nurses don't care that patients are screaming for help, you can wait up to an hour for someone to come. They need to be reported and the news channels need to be called to go in and investigate what goes on there without them knowing. You might get one person that cares. Should get rid of the whole place and shut it down.

09/24/2013 An Interested Visitor Writes: I have to say stay away. I just worked my last day here. It is not worth loosing my nursing degree. The nursing care is the worst. They misdiagnose people and cause unjustified deaths. No one should die from a bowel obstruction.

Response: About 90 per cent of the reviews expressing concern re level of care and communication is correct. I am a professional in the field of aging for 40 years. This place is reflective of the substandard facilities in the 70 s. it is outrageous this place can get away with this. The recreation program is demeaning too I observed these straw hats being handed out and the staff running around taking pictures. That's s program??The food is deploreable. This place has had a very rocky turnover for years. It really should be closed down. The only department that is good is the pt the rest stinks the upper level staff are very difficult and unresponsive

05/10/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: I love this facility. My mother has been a patient for the last 3 years and they take great care of her. It is disgusting that someone is planting these crazy comments against a great place

05/06/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: I was visiting my father this afternoon and heard the staff talking about a housekeeper. He threatened to blow himself and the building up. From what I understand this is the second threat from him. I hope they take care of this...if I see him there working I will be sure to take my loved one out and call the state.

04/15/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: All I want to know is what kind of rehab is this place? I visited a neighbor of mine this weekend and all I saw was young patients in there for drug and alcohol abuse. One pt asked me for money for a snack because she just smoked 2 joints and was hungary and the kitchen was closed. Ther other lady was brought back by the police drunk. I will talk to the family today!!

03/31/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: I went to visit my Uncle today on Easter and well let me start by saying what a filthy zoo. My Uncle needed to use the bathroom so I was going to ring the bel for him and he said he hoped that the Mother and Daughter duo would be on break. He said they were the worst aides. The mother was always mean and the daughter is pregnant and lazy and "her office is in room 5" where she sits. I will talk to my Aunt tonight about moving him somewhere else.

03/04/2013 An Current/Past Resident Writes: I came in as a resident on Thursday and I signed myself out on Friday. They never recieved my medication till early Friday morning. They were giving me vitmins and tylenol and told me it was my medication. Now I know why my blood pressure was so high and my pain never went away. My wife asked for urinal for me and then over heard the staff saying that I didnt need one if I had to go bad enough I would find a way to get up to the bathroom. Staff slept all night and seemed upset if someone needed anything. They only 2 people that were any good was a young nurse with long black hair and a african man who helped me get dressed and ready to leave. Thank you two!! I will never return there or advise anyone I care about to go there!!

02/27/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Worst nursing home in the area please do not send you loved ones here!! The nursing care is the worst I have ever seen, you can never find a nurses aid and the nurses are disrespectful and always to busy for you. I cant tell you how many times that we had to change my Aunt ourselves because after waiting an hour no one comes to help.

02/21/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: My Mother is on the East unit. What they call the longterm unit. It is more like the junk unit for the older non rehab or senial patients. The wost nusing care is on that unit. There have been several falls. One out of the hyer lift, one off the toilet and the most recient was a lady out of her chair and split her head open. All within a month. I am looking for another long term facility. Also a crazy guy on the South unit who all the elderly are scared on. Please do not go here if you love you family member!!

09/16/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Administrator Amy Elba unresponsive to reasonable concerns to the point of not answering questions, not returning phone calls, and combative with family members.Check recent complaints with Ombudsman and Health Department. When staff are rude in front of family members, what happens when patients are there by themselves? STAY AWAY!

11/04/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: NO ONE IS SAFE IN THEIR CARE! definitely had doubts about their qualifications. The first time I walked into their FACILITY, I immediately smelled an absolutely horrible odor. I don't think they've ever cleaned the place. It made me nauseous. .My father is very ill and suffered a stroke and while he was their at the facility they left him UNATTENDED in his wheelchair only for him to fall and had a large laceration on his head and knee. I was furious thi sis unacceptable not only did we find him in URINE all the time and if it werent that we his children fed him they wouldnt even notice. It was so sad it broke my heart and my siblings we had him transferred immediately. i am sending a complaint to the Board of health for the foul odor of URINE now I know why they never change these poor patients, very sad. I am also sending a complaint to Northern Westchester hospital as well who own the facility and was not impressed by PEGGY the SUPERVISOR who wasnt compassionate enough to understand how upset we were and said "THIS IS NOT A ONE ON ONE FACILITY" are you kidding me, I said as soon as he arrived here you were advised that he cant be left unattanded and he was and got seriously hurt. Thank God it wasnt a fatal fall but this is unacceptable. Then they didn’t even take him to the hospital until we raised hell to get him to have a ct scan to make sure he wasn’t bleeding internally in his head. Soon as he got they we made sure he wasn’t going to be transported back and immediately made arrangements to have him sent elsewhere. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY AT THIS PLACE!
