I lived a Fawn Ridge for 3 Months was sent to the hospital over 50 times was lied to on my interview about the way food service was provided if you did not like the poor meals offered than you where given the choice of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, egg salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich or cheese sandwich. the sandwiches where made an hour early so they where soggy. food was always cold AND THEY DID NOT HAVE CHEIFS. in the 3 months that I was there I lost 50 pounds. they fed lots of rice and beans which I do not eat. there was only 2 staff on at night 1 med certified and 1 receptionist who was usually sleeping. to get your meds you usually had to wait in line 45 minutes to an hour. they only have one nurse who works mon thru fri 9 to 5 the staff is not nurses aides they just need geds. staff changes regularly.

Currently has a substantiated report of neglect through new York state department of health. My sister lost almost 100 lbs in 3_4 months because residents were stealing her food. Nobody noticed. Even tho she asked for help she she ignored. They stole her clothes And tried to replace them with donations. Collected too much money from social security on behalf of the resident and never returned it. Now she has to pay it back. Nancy threatened her that if she complained she would put her "AWAY" it's a horrible place and your all should be disgusted that or tax dollars are finding this greed and neglect.

Fawn Ridge would be the ideal place to live if you like refugee camps. The food and amenities are of the lowest possible quality, and there is dangerous understaffing.

I would never have anything to do with this place. My brother lived there briefly before he passed away. He had over $2000.00 worth of brand new, still in the box luggage and jewelry he had just purchased. One of the staff promised to keep it in a "safe place" until I could get it to his daughter. They kept it all right. All of a sudden no one knew what happened to it and the Troy police didn't do anything about it either.

New young man that is assistant is very friendly and helpful. Mother and I both enjoyed talking to him and she is happy he will be around. Overall very nice home.

although I have had minimal issues with the staff, the overall comfort and space and presentation and maintenance of the facility is, to me, unacceptable. I do not believe the set up of the facility is conducive to the types of residents it serves. I am going to visit again tomorrow. I have definitely been considering looking into other options, and I will discuss this with my mother tomorrow because she does not seem happy or comfortable there.
