My mother's stay at White Oak Manor in Burlington, NC was one ordeal after another. First, it took the staff a week after her arrival before they gave her a bath. Second, the staff broke the patient's hearing aid in half and White Oak refused to cover any of the repair costs. Third, White Oak is severely understaffed as patient calls for aid can easily go without a response for 30 minutes or more. On top of all this, in status meetings with the team providing treatment it became stunningly clear that the physical therapist had no understanding of the patient's condition. The quality of care at White Oak is atrocious. The management team is aware of the problems, willfully ignores the impact on patients, and refuses to take steps to solve the problems. For these reasons, I give White Oak the lowest possible rating across the board. If you care about the welfare of your loved one, do not bring them to White Oak for nursing care or physical rehab.

Response: Amen! They didn't change my mother, they didn't put her gown on for bed-she stayed in her same clothes, they left her tray knowing she could not feed herself, residents came in and threatened her, the staff told residents they smelled bad, etc, etc, etc! How can they stay in business??????

Response: It's a shame how inconsiderate people call be, especially when it comes to the elderly. I also had a family member who received poor care from this facility.
