User Reviews

02/23/2014  -  An OurParents User Writes:

My aunt lived here until she passed away. The staff is excellent! They are caring, patient and I never worried about my aunt being there. They treated her with respect and dignity, even though she had dementia she was never treated like a child. The food here is excellent. They always had activities and entertainment. Very happy with Aldersgate and so lucky to have found them.

Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of providing the support that helps seniors stay as self-reliant as possible. Living in a senior community has many advantages. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You'll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Aldersgate is a community where you'll experience a comfortable new beginning with a dedicated staff. In this community, residents find a full range of assisted living and independent living services, as well as a warm, friendly staff.
