07/06/2011 An OurParents User Writes: This center is understaffed for the patients they provide for. Funding needs to be provided in order to have more staff i.e. nurses, assistants (cna) in order to give patients better care. There are too many patients with one per have 15 to 20 to attend. Something needs to be done about this. I am researching this facility because I need to know who to write my concerns to. Carver Living Center needs a facelift.

09/12/2009 An OurParents User Writes: I was in Carver Living Center for almost three months receiving rehabilitation services (Physical and Occupational Therapy). I found most of the staff to be pleasant and helpful. My biggest gripe would be with the speed of answers to my call bell. I needed assistance with the bathroom and bathing for the first two months to a large degree and sometimes it took way too long for the nursing assistants to answer the bell. They always seemed to be short-handed for CNA personnel. The nurses were all very helpful and professional and most would pitch in wherever needed if able to do so, but some would do nothing if it were not "their job". The food is OK, but not great and I had weight issues so needed to have special modifications that very few of the older residents seemed to need, so that was a challenge. All in all, however, the therapy staff helped me tremendously and I plan to go back sometime soon to visit. The people there are mostly fantastic!
