Very poor care and service by doctor, nurses and cna. I know I am a nurse myself...totally shocked...pulled my parent out immediately....to take care of myself.

Please do not take your loved ones here!! My mother went here and I will say that the physical therapy staff are wonderful. However, the nurses are AWFUL!!! It takes them 2 hours to answer a call bell at least. I saw this on several occasions and when I went to track someone down, they were all in the tv room watching tv! One male nurse in particuliar, is very rude and rough with the patients. We heard him yelling at another patient "Would you just shut up". Thank goodness we got my mother out of there!

My mother was admitted to facility after a hospital stay, she was at Belaire for rehab. The staff in general was very friendly. Just like at the hospital, you have your nurses that clock in and clock out. We were very lucky and had a great nurse. She went out of her way to follow up on labs, call the doctor about my mothers condition and they took the time to talk one on one with my mom. I think the RN's name was Holly. There were also two very friendly cna's, Barbara and Kayla. They worked together well, helping each other out. I have worked in health care and understand the work load. My mother had a lot of dressing changes due to her hospital stay, mom acquired pressure ulcers at hospital on her sacrum and heels. Barbara and Holly were turning her and making sure her dressings were clean and dry. My mother passed away due to kidney failure and complications with dialysis, but I will never forget these angels, that touched our families lives. There were times I was frustrated at the situation and they always took the time to talk to me and comfort me. Every facility has its ups and downs, I was very happy with the care my mother received.

2 members of the therapy staff were rude and condescending to my mother. Decisions from "team planning" were not carried through. Several of the nurses exhibited little to no compassion and acted as if family members were an irritant. The CNA's are the best thing about this facility. The housekeeping and maintanence staff also deserve compliments.

Response: Quiet frankly this is the worst nursing center I have ever been in. My mother is a resident there at this time and I am not happy at all with how she is treated. She has had diarrhea for 2 weeks and the doctor in charge of the nursing home has not done one thing to help hr. He has never been in her room or ordered any stool testing to be performed on her. I want her taken out immediately and placed in the hospital. I do not want my mother to die in that horrible place. The staff stand out in the halls yelling at each other about what time they get to go home and how long they have to work. They do not appear to be at all happy with their positions and are not at all nice to the residents.
I would rate this facility at 2 below on a scale of 1 to 5.
