It's horrible please don't put your family member here!!!! They don't have enough help and their staff are not happy which makes them not care at allll! My mother in law was there for about 6 weeks and the first day the nurse was working the rehabilitation hall alone with 2 nursing assistances. Nothing like we were promised. It worked out because our family was there to pick up the slack!!! They have no professional management which is a horrible fact for any nursing organization!!! I feel sorry for the patients and workers the owners seem to take all the profit without putting it back into the care of the patients.... And definitly don't ensure Quality work by taking care of their workers from my observations.

My father-in-law was there for not quite two months for physical therapy. Our experience at this facility was not pleasant. He was not given his correct medication and was pretty much drugged to where he couldn't do much of anything except lay in the bed or sit in the wheelchair. When we brought him home Sunday we discovered he had severe bed sores which no one told us about upon discharge and we weren't given any medication for it. He was so drugged that he had no use of his legs whatsoever and he was so pale. By 8pm that night he began getting color back in his face and was getting back to his old self. By yesterday he was actually able to use his legs to transfer from chair to wheelchair with help. I would not recommend Shannon Grey for my dog more less a human being.

My mom was there 2012-2014. Even though they had a lot of staff turnover, I don't think the experience would've been better at a different skilled place. The management team was always willing to help me with complaints. In fact, the DON lady and Administrator was there a lot and even on the weekends. Some of the family members felt like those two overcompensated some times. The food was good and mom started gaining weight. Overall, I was pleased with the care once I got out of denial about mama's alzheimers.

My mother was there for rehab for a broken leg. She has some dementia (maybe early onset Alzheimers) but definitely some bipolar problems. She was somewhat younger than most residents and refused to do the rehab. That became a problem. She became obstinate and difficult to handle. The reason I gave them one star is that they drugged her so much she couldn't stand without falling nor get into her wheel chair. We had to have her taken to a local hospital and it took about 8 hours for the drugs to wear off and she had no clue how she got there. Afterwards the business office was ugly to us on the phone.

The onsite doctor refused to talk to the family. He refused to talk to the family doctor, CVS, nor the hospital that sent her. He had no clue of her history and just made it up as he went. Half of the time she got her meds and the other half she didn't.

At night they have one staff member per hall. No were near enough.

In the 4 weeks there she never had a shower, just a sponge bath and she is diabetic. Even if asking we could not get towels AND wash cloths at the same time. She would either have towels or wash cloths but not both.

Also in the 4 weeks there we were unable to get her hair washed.

It is a beautiful facility and if someone was in their 20's or 30's and needed rehab it is perfect.

I would NOT recommend this facility.

the Shannon Grey in all is just great but if there could be more hours or back up for the hairstyles the ladies would not be so disappointed when they could not get their hair washed and set. The styles do a wonderful job and are very helpful but sometimes there are not enough hours in the day for everyone and if they are out for some reason there is no back up or spreading the word that she and her staff are not there. This might be something to consider for older people do not understand sometimes.

I was there for two weeks for rehab. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I loved the food. My daughter came every evening and ate dinner with me and she also loved the food. The nurses and nurse aides were all nice to me. I made many friends when I was there.

To One and All the personnel that provided such exemplary care to me during my recent stay with your facility. I cannot name everyone involved, and if I attempted to name people that stand out in their service, I would surely miss some of the most important people. It is truly fitting that I include everyone: Planners; administrators; supervisors; food preparers; housekeepers; grounds keepers; therapists; nurses and general service personnel.. Surely, you get the message that this note is directed to and is for the entire staff.
We would have a much more hospitable world if everyone acted on the credo that we should, “Do unto others as we would have them do unto us”.
The treatment during my recent stay due to a hip replacement surgery was an experience that, while I would rather not have had the surgery, the thoughtfulness, concern, empathy and service afforded me was helpful, understanding, professional and timely.
I do not know how to make any suggestions for improvement and I remain eternally grateful and thankful.
Surely your facility was founded and is operated with the precepts of the Good Samaritan.

My husband has only been there for three days. It is a beautiful place and seems to be kept clean. He is satisfied with the food. After his complete stay (which we hope will be short) we will comment again.

My mother was admitted to the facility in February for Rehab needs. Our experience was exeptional. It is a new building with a fantastic environment. The rehab facilities are second to none from what we saw on tours with other buildings in the area. My mother enjoyed her stay, met all goals and has returned home.

I have lived at the Shannon Gray Nursing home since it opened. I like it here. It is very nice and clean. The food is good but they give you too much to eat. My nurse Amber is the best.

My grandmother was there and i was very impressed with the care that she got. Therapy worked with her and got her back to her normal self. I was very impressed that the nurses all wear white. When she first got there she was surrounded by staff ready to help her. It's a busy place with a lot of people working hard. I hope she doesn't have to go back to a nursing home but if she does i'll take her back there.

Shannon Gray is an exceptional place to put your loved one. My father has lived in a Nursing Home for seven years and Shannon Gray is his third Nursing Home. I moved him here in December, 2010 and have been pleased every since. The staff is always courteous and willing to help. They treat my Dad like he is there Dad, and sometimes my Dad is not that easy to get along with. They always alert me to any changes in my Dad. You can tell when they started the planning process for Shannon Gray they put alot of thought and effort into making this Nursing Home a home. I have seen many Nursing Homes and none so far have had showers in each room nor the wonderful decor that Shannon Gray has. Makes you feel at home. Dad just loves the extra special attention he gets - truthfully he eats it up. I am very thankful to have my Dad here. As caregivers we worry everyday about how are loved ones are doing. Well I can say that this past year out of seven I have worried alot less since Dad is at Shannon Gray. LIFE IS GOOD AT SHANNON GRAY!!!!!
