I used to work for this nursing home. The way that the other CNAs care for the people there is so ridiculous! I was taught how to handle these people and had just passed my state test so everything was still fresh. Yet I get here and was trained to CUT CORNERS. Every time I turned around State was there watching every one. Of course every one had a warning and was on their best behavior. I seriously would never EVER put a family member or friend here.
I would go in for my shift and poor people would be laying in a SOAKED bed for God knows how long. It breaks my heart and because I spoke out, I got harassed.
For instance, I had just put an elderly lady to put, moved her bed in the LOWEST position to ensure IF she did fall it wouldn't cause much,if any injury. The nurse on that hall came behind me and while I was in another room called me back into her room. He bed was as high as a bed will go. (Above my waistline). The nurse told me I did it and I got written up. I cried all night about this. It still brings tears to my eyes that another person would do this.
Please, if you love someone....dont put them here!

My mother was placed in Britthaven of Kernersville for rehab. Supposedly she was to receive rehab daily. Within 10 days, a resident from across the hall stated my mother was taken to rehab, knocked out and they "moved" her legs a little. She became delirious and unable to do even minor tasks...a very high decline in what she could do when she got there. She had her clothes stolen, she is diabetic and was not monitored, was not given the changes in nutrition she needed to remain healthy and overall, was I do believe given something to knock her out. After the rapid decline, we insisted she be seen by a doctor. After an all day wait (they only come on Mondays) they said she was being sent to the hospital. After only 36 hours in the hospital she was back to herself, alert, eating regular food on the diet she should have had, and is now able to walk with a walker. If you are thinking of using this facility as a rehab center or nursing home, PLEASE DON'T! THEY WILL KILL YOUR FAMILY MEMBER BY DRUGGING THEM OR LETTING THEM DIE FROM BEING KEPT QUIET!!!!! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND SUED TO HIGH HEAVEN FOR THEIR LACK OF COMMON DECENCY WITH OLDER HUMANS!!

IT TOOK @ (2) WEEKS FOR MY MOM TO GET TO A STATE OF NOT KNOWING WHO HER SON OF 55 YEARS WAS AND TWO DAYS OF HOSPITAL CARE TO RETURN TO NORMAL.HER MENTAL CONDITION WAS NOT RECORDED AS I VISIED DAILEY AND COULD SEE IT DETERATING. ALSO SHE HAD (5) SETS OF CLOTHES LABLED AND LOST ONE SET BEFORE SHE EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO WEAR THEM. IT TAKE A FINE ESTABLISHMENT TO STEAL FROM A 76 YEAR OLD RETIRED DEPUTY SHERRIFF.
