My mother has been in Elderberry for two weeks and I continue to be impressed with the care and concern of the Nursing Staff. Elderberry staff also tries very hard to keep the facility clean and for the most part they do a good job. It is understandable that it does have some odor at times - they have 70 - 80 elderly paients in the facility that are not always able to make it to the bathroom in a timely manner.
I have been with my mother during breakfast, lunch and dinner and can say that the meals are acceptable. My mother is a picky eater but she seems to enjoy her meals. I have also seen many of the staff feeding those patients who could not feed themselves.
I have seen more elaborate, luxurious facilities, but have yet to see one with a more compassionate, caring staff. I rest easy knowing that 90% of the nurses and CNAs show real compassion for their patients - there are always a couple staff who do not seem as dedicated.

While the outside of Elderberry looks nice, the inside smells horrible. I wouldn't even give my dog the food they try to serve these residents, but above all I feel like the employees there didn't truly have the residents best interests in mind.
