Patients have no phone or even phone jacks in their room. I called three times, each time listening for 10 minutes about what a wonderful place it is and how much they appreciate your call; I never got thru; the third time I called the lady had me leave a number and they would call me back; never happened. I tried to call at the time suggested, and no one even answers the main switchboard.
If a patient was being abused, they have no way to callf or help. My family has been instructed, NEVER place me at Autumn care. It is definitely sacrificing patients in order to make a profit!

It's really sad that the administration of Autumn Care has to place their own user review (below) to bring up their rating. Let me tell you EXACTLY how it REALLY is:

I am a nurse at this facility and I can honestly say that I would never allow anyone whom I care about to be placed here. The amount of work that is placed on the staff is far beyond the limits of safe care and at the same time, administration is constantly threatening employees about getting everything completed within their shift. Staff moral is always rock bottom and they have a constant turnover of nurses and CNA's, with an ad running every week in the local paper. They often only have 3 CNA's for an entire hall of 50-60 residents. Residents who are unable to complain are often left in their wheelchairs for 4 to 5 hours after eating, sometimes longer and falls and bedsores are very prevalent. The food is uneatable and is sometimes served 2 to 3 days at a time. The administrator has a high school education and has no clue of how to run such a facility or manage people. Since this is a "for profit" organization, she receives bonuses for meeting her budget and obviously will do whatever it takes to get that bonus. She wins, staff and residents lose. I would not wish such a death sentence on anyone by placing them here and I cannot wait to find another position where I no longer have to be a part of it.

We were most distressed to learn that sometime shorly after his death, our step-father's wedding ring was removed and "lost" (read stolen) this caused great distress to our mother. She also reported several other items "missing". We were informed that an "investigation" was conducted but nothing was uncovered. there was no documentation regarding the ring. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering using this facility to not leave anything of value in the patient's room on on his/her person. the ovreall care was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. however it seems there is at least one bad apple in the basket.
