Part of a mega corporate empire - Sunrise Senior Living. Looks great on the inside but no assistance for senior citizens. Medical care provided by physician assistances - you will never see a real doctor. 3 story structure with no emergency exits or emergency power. Staff is totally indifferent to residents. If you ever have any resident concerns be sure to document your concerns thoroughly - because they will deny that they ever knew the resident was in any trouble if anything goes wrong. Absolutely no support from senior management. Be sure to use your own medical provider for doctor's support. "In house" OT/PT services are the best thing they offer - these services are provided by contracted services. Do not keep any valuables in the resident's room. These rooms are subject to unannounced searches without the resident being present. Items taken are not inventoried or reported to resident. Our family member was forced to contact 911 for pain relief which they had endured for well over a month. Thank goodness for Wake Forest Baptist Hospital - who had properly trained doctors to properly address their needs. When the doctors recommended that she not return to BG - BG insisted that she pay a two week cancellation charge (because they thought they were doing a great job - and she had no valid reason to leave? - without telling BG that they were not doing their job) In reality the medical provider had received at least 3 written notices ! Strongly suggest that if you are considering leaving your loved ones there that you talk with others who had family there that actually needed medical assistance. If your loved one just wants a reasonably place to stay - without assistance you are probably OK. Otherwise I would suggest you consider locally owned and operated facilities where a real doctor actually will see and care for your family member.
