I broke my leg and was unable to go home after surgery due to stairs. I spent five days here and had wonderful caring nurses, aides and therapists. I literally was unable to move on my own without this stay. I can't say enough about the care I received.

While the support staff is attentive, for the most part. The doctors seem distant to the patient (me) and can't or won't give answers to questions I had. They seem to dismiss my input in a very obvious way. I had one or two who were supposed to have decided my plan of care that NEVER said so much as HI.
I would recommend looking elsewhere for anything requiring more than a simple bone set, x-ray and a cast or a few stitches.
Hamot or St Vincent in Erie or Summa in Akron would be my choices since the Cleveland Clinic shares the same doctors.
    Reasons for my ratings:
Overall rating is 1 star (reflection of doctors, the reason you go to a hospital in the first place, not an overall reflection of the staff).
Staff Helpfulness 3 stars (most of the staff is helpful, a few who are in tight with doc's seem to be obstructionists)
Cleanliness 3 stars (What hospital is clean enough? I wouldn't give ANY hospital more then 3 stars)
Quality of care 1 star (again, my experience with the doc's I had not a reflection of support staff).
