My father was there after a hospital stay,. As soon as we walked in we realized this was not the place for him. Void of any warmth or atmosphere very sterile surroundings. We said we were not keeping him there and director helped us find a more suitable place. No TV or phone in rooms. In the 6 hours we were there 4 different patients just walked into room. Nurse station far from room if he were to try to get out of bed by the time someone could help him he would be on the ground.

SO DISPICABLE! I CANNOT BELIEVE THE STATE HAS NOT SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.
I HAVE PERSONALLY WITNESSED MY OWN FATHER BEING ABUSE MY THE HORRID STAFF. WHEN I ALERTED THE MANAGEMENT THEY DID NOTHING! HE HAD BED SORES, HIS DIAPER WAS NOT CHANGED, HE WAS FILTHY! AND THE STAFF ACTUALLY HAD THE NERVE TO YELL AT ME FOR STANDING UP FOR HIM. THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS!!

NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE...EVER!

My Dad was resistant to care and combative. He had to leave 2 facilities that cared for people with Alzheimer's. Columbus Alzheimer's was the only place where my father thrived. I found the staff to be exceptional in their ability to care and communicate with people that lived there. My Dad was in the later stages where he needed a lot of care. They engaged him up until the end of his life. I was there often enough to see that all of the residents were treated with dignity and respect.
