I LOVE cypress Pointe! The employees are all so wonderful and caring. They love the residents and take pride in their jobs. The company is very focused around their customer service. I have peace of mind that my loved one will be cared for and will be happy at Cypress Pointe!

Being a conscientious observer, this is not a good place period. From the moment I came to work there I was concerned for the residents, so many are very unhappy but live in fear to talk of their fears. They residents are so miserable and it is so normal for their care to be bad, they take it out on good employees. No goodwill is what this place is about. Nurses sit around chatting with STNA's and talk of their life while call lights remained unanswered. A LPN Nurse in assisted living gave food to a resident who is a tube feed, sounds dangerous to me, this nurse main goal is to flirt with a married male nurse. If you think you family member is their caring focus, I hope you wake up and smell the roses. If my facts are overlooked, then perhaps you live close by and that is why toleration of such horrible care and nursing practices occur. STNA's sit around not giving baths not attending to food trays and employees have drug issues and blow up at residents to where I an posting a highly concerned that I am posting. I am glad to not work there any more for I could not stand seeing what was going on. IN closing management is like Nero and Caligula. Dare to go against that insane woman and you are a target for paperwork being made up against and a good employee for telling the truth. Negative and hostile treatment is what I experienced, what do you think your family will suffer? My last week there pain medications were kept from resident on purpose, another loses weight for the food is bad and residents get sick from it and almost die and management lives in comes fantasy world all is good for she has all these residents money and does as she pleases, again as she pleases. The elderly here are caught in a trap of bad care, bad nursing care like in the cu cu's nest. Money rules as well as extreme meanness on a clinical level from drug addicted employees. I am glad to not work there, tell yourself what you want, my conscience is clear but my hearts always loves and cares. Hope you do to, truly.

I beg anyone searching for a place to put their loved to investigate deep. Not all staff our incompetent, but the management and owners are crooked, liars, and your rates will begin to be raised unexpectedly. Medication errors are enormous. Go to public court documents and research the lawsuits and judgements, one complaint you may blame on the people, but more than one, time to be aware. Watch closely if you place your loved one here. Such a shame behind the scenes and when families arent there to see what happens. Sad because it is clean and beautiful but not safe.

This facility lacks integrity and does not truly care about its residents, only the money, the few good staff they get are the ones who care not the owners. My mother was injured and died in their facility because they took short cuts, failed to follow proper protocols to keep her safe from strangers entering the facility. They fraudulently changed medical records, administered wrong medications, and when they thought family wasnt watching spoke rude to our mother, but we had proof. Beware placing your loved one here, looks are deceiving and we lost our mother because of them.

always short staffed . The outward appearance is pretty ,but once you spend any amount of time with a resident you see all the flaws . The staff changes constantly .

I have worked at Cypress Pointe since the day it opened its doors. With any facility, it has its ups and downs. However, Residents are always put first. Staff is treated extremely well and food is amazing. I would put my loved one here if ever I had to do so. I trust the nursing team. As far the comments on over medicating, ODH and the pharmacies have strict guidelines on medication and reduction policies. I assure you that those guidelines are followed as a citation has not been issued for this campus. Please do your research in all health campus before making a decision. The comments on this site are very upsetting to read as I personally know how much the staff cares and loves the residents. I have been in long term care for over 11 years and been with Cypress for three. There is a reason I have stayed with this campus and plan to continue my career with them; Compassion for seniors and the ones who care for them.

This is a beautiful, brand-new, facility with friendly, helpful employees and lots of ammenities. I have visited many nursing homes/care facilities and this is the BEST it gets! I consider myself QUITE picky and I would have NO HESITATION staying at Cypress Pointe myself. I truly feel blessed that my Dad is a resident there and I have had NO worries as to him being taken care of properly and/or living in clean environment.

Response: I am the individual who entered this review. I still think the facility is clean and beautiful but I must say after 2 months my father's condition and abilities have SIGNIFICANTLY diminished. He left hospital walking and after being a patient at CP, is now in wheel chair only and scolded by CP nursing personnel for trying to walk. Thank God his surgeon saw him recently and is intervening. I understand it is easier to care for immobile patients with limited staffing but IT IS A TRUE SHAME patients' physical potentials and well-being are sacrified for this. I understand from others this is a common problem at all nursing homes. I would like to see CP adopt a policy to be different in this respect.

Response: Update: Dad is now using his walker and has cotinued to steaily regain his health and can function independently. He is contented at Cypress Pointe and we are EXTREMELY SATISIFIED and thankful he is in such a clean, beautiful, caring facility. I can not imagine a better nursing home. :)

We have been very happy with the care and attention our loved one has received at Cypress Pointe in Englewood, Oh. I'm very surprised at the low ratings I see on this site. We would give the facility and staff much higher ratings.

THIS PLACE SUCKS. No one cares on the late shift. No one is ever around to help. Try to find an aid or a nurse in the evening. If you do find one, I can tell you that they are sitting around ignoring call lights and eating what the old folks did not eat that evening. I hope i die before i enter a place like this. God help us all

04/19/2012  -  An OurParents User Writes:

There is a shortage of STNAs and no consistent plan of care for residents. Aids are pulled from different areas to cover and have no idea the needs of the residents. The admistrative staff has said that they are suppose to use a care plan but time and time again, the same pattern continues. Some of the LPNs don't communicate with the STNAs effectively and most of the LPNs can't answer basic medical questions. There have been preventably falls, lack of follow up calls, no follow up on labwork by medical staff, and overall poor communication among staff with family. I would not recommend Cypress to anyone. It is a beautiful facility but I am concerned about the safety and care that is being provided.

Go somewhere else, my father almost died because of this place.....from the fat @#$% sitting at the info desk to the PT...stupid, nonhelpful, mistake ridden idiots...

My mother was here for sometime and loved the staff. We were very appreciative of the time they took with my mother and our family. I have recommended this facility to friends.

Family member fell 3 times, water is not consistently at the bedside. Communication between staff relating to fathers care poor and often incomplete. As a family member, I knew more about his care than the staff.

The campus is clean and beautiful. Staff are friendly and there is a warm atmosphere. The food choices are tremendous and the care is great! There is new management and staff apparently it is a great place to put your parent or loved one.

08/09/2011  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Cypress Pointe was a wolf in sheeps clothing. They were not prepared to handle assisted living residents who became ill, they also failed to follow legal rules and regulations during construction and cause great damage to residents. Multiple medication errors and promises of services not kept. It it a beautiful facility with poor management and some nursing staff that need to have their license revoked. Don't put your loved ones here, don't let the exterior fool you of what happens behind the scenes.

03/14/2011  -  An OurParents User Writes:

I have not experienced anything like the remarks I have read. I found Cypress Pointe extremely clean, well staffed, very helpful with compassionate people. I have been in many places but none as nice as this one. This place is better than most out there. As an RN I have not found any as close as this one to being where I would want to go. Experiences are personal and needs are different, but I have found this place very helpful. My family member also found this place exceptional.

08/26/2010  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Complete broken promises. Mistakes with medications for mulitple patients. This company sure makes it sound good when they are trying to get you in. Glad i spoke to residents there before i put my father in

Response: I am currently looking at this facility for my grandmother and would like you to share so additional information. would you mind sharing your story with me at [email protected]

Response: Please choose another facility. The exterior is beautiful, but what happens within the walls is horrible. Numerous medication errors, lack of communication. Cruel nurses on night shift in Assisted Living Area. Poor management and they make promises they fail to keep. They hire construction and maintenance people who are inexperienced and place your loved ones in danger.

07/22/2010  -  An OurParents User Writes:

worst place to put anyone....dirty.. mean staff...has no SOP's for anything that happens....dont put your loved ones here.....long list of endless promises..

Response: This place should be closed down. My friend was extremely neglected.

Response: dirty??? If anything it is one of the more clean facilities in ohio. You wrote this in July of 2010? The place was built in Jan of 2010... youre telling me that in 7 months this place became "dirty"??? I am not even sure if you have ever been inside this facility. This site is completely bogus. No references are even checked to submit anything. If you look to this site for placement of a loved one, you are taking terrible advice from people who could be total fakes. Congrats to all that view this site in a high manner. You are IDIOTS!

Response: There are many things wrong and over medicating is one of them. My family memeber is in the memory care unit and the nursing staff and aids are good to the people. The management team lacks alot, and they activities has little to offer, mainly it is okay there but as any where you have to be part and active in your loved ones care the star rating helps but is also needs you to look and ask about putting your loved one there or anywhere. If the staff is trying that is one thing put if they are over medicating so they don't have to deal with residents that another. Also the Doctors When AND if their there , never do one one one with residetns just go by what the staff say and that should not be acceptable for any loved ones care. The Dr. over medicate and we as family members should always ask questions , it is easier to just let it happen than to work through it.
We are goinbg try and keep our loved one there and if happy with sstaff we will keep active with care also.
