I just want to make everyone aware, I had the best experience with the care team at Grace Bretheran for their care and assistance through today's admission. I HAVE NEVER experienced the gratitude and willingness to help like I did at this facility. Such a great experience and they are top notch in care and charting. It was my pleasure to assist this pt at his residence.
Thank you,

Thank you to the lovey staff. We want to thank all of you for the lovey care you provided our mom during her last months of her life. While she was there we never had to worry about her. We knew you were taking great care of here. Forever grateful.

Went for rehab and was expected to be there for 4-6 weeks. Thanks to the great care and staff (rehab, therapist, nursing staff, dietary, activities, housekeeping, etc.), I was ready to go home a lot sooner. The only problem is that I did not want to go home because they spoiled me and I wanted to stay. Thank You Grace Brethren Village for all that you did for me and for everyone that you take such great care of.

I have been a nurse for over 8 years and have experienced quite a few facilities and am very pleased to be able to say what a wonderful experience yours is. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the level of care I observed was outstanding. This also extends to basic nursing functions (i.e documention, supplies are ready available). Truly outstanding. I would gladly recommend your facility and look forward to being able to come again. Thank you so much.

I was there for rehab a few years ago & because I needed more care (replaced other knee this time), I did not hesitate to return here again. As in my 1st stay there, I find the staff not only very caring, compassionate & friendly but they are very professional and know what they are doing at all times (I mean ALL staff & not just their great nursing staff).
Even though I am able to return back home, if and when I need more care, Grace Brethren Village is the ONLY place I will ever go.

Was there for Rehab and I can say nothing but very positives. Everything was great...greatest people ever, great rehab therapist, great food, great activities, clean (no odors!!!). I shopped around and I have even been in other nursing homes before, but GBV was by far the greatest place I every have been. I will not hestiate to go back there if I need care again. LOVE YOU ALL, GBV.

They are the best. I was very nerous and did a lot of shopping around before I made the decision to admit my mother to Grace Brethren Village. It was the best decision I every made. The staff is great, my mom is taken better care of then every before and I am no longer nerous because they have proven themselves to be great over and over again.

My mother was there for rehab a few days after her hip surgery, Sept 2011, for 10 days.
Facilities: Clean, spacious, very good meals. Even a resident dog to visit with patients that was very sweet & very well trained. Bingo, crafts, jigsaw puzzles set up all over.
Floor staff: Very nice, friendly, helpful, attentive to needs. Interacted with all the residents. Helped each other as needed or if a resident needed or asked, regardless of whether their charge.
    Residents: Seemed comfortable and satisfied.
Facility Doctor: Left a lot to be desired. Mom's sugar was allowed to remain at 300 for over a week, even with me (and nurses) voicing concerns to him. She had received blood before release from the hospital--that alone should've prompted blood work for monitoring as she was still on heparin. I know of only 2x, but only after she developed a hematoma at the incision. Her blood count dropped to over half what it should've been 2 days after the hematoma developed. EMTs transported to ER, and she did not return to Grace.
While clearing out the room, the administrator came in to check on Mom. Had a convo re: the doc. Whether or not those concerns were addressed afterwards, I have no idea. I have rated the quality of care based on the experience with the doc. I guess if the resident has no real problems, everything is okay. But a sense of urgency in him addressing problems is non-existent.
The staff was very prompt in calling the surgeon and/or me with updates. If it hadn't been for the doc, I would've returned her to Grace.

Response: This doctor is no longer a part of GBV. GBV has hired a new Medical Director to oversee that all physicians that are serving our residents, are providing the best possible care that they each deserve.
    Mike Montgomery, NHA, Administrator/Executive Director

Greatest place ever because of a great staff. Best place for my mom. Glad I found Grace Brethren Village and that she lives there.

12/09/2010  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Staff care about everything. From mom's care to the cleanness of her room and the whole building. They really show that they care about what they do and for who they are there to serve...THEY ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Response: Could you tell me if Grace Brethren is a facility that accommodates obese patients?
