One of the work experiences ever!!! This place is horrible, If I knew prior to my Mom entering this facility of how horrible it was She never would have not went there! She wore the same clothes for two days , no bath items stolen all the time.

Worst experience ever with a nursing home / rehab center. My mother in law has been there the last 3 weeks and I have never witnessed such poor standards. Her dressings are not changed on time, if ever - we have had to change for her. Bloody gauze left on the floor for days in her room, it's disgusting. Meds not given on time. We have been trying to get her out since the 1st week and every time we have a date to get her 'something' comes up. These doctors are all in cahoots to keep patients there to collect their money!! It's totally disgusting - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Absolutely filthy room. No attention paid to my father or the other man in the room who had dried blood on top of his head from banging it into the wall. This poor man (bless his heart) should have been in a mental hospital NOT a nursing home! This place should be needs to be inspected more often. Do not send your loved ones here! Oh, and don't even get me started on the smell of urine in this place!

My grandmother was at Monterey Care Center and I was very not pleased at all with her stay there. She was on the rehab unit and I must say if it wasn't for the Stna's she would have poor care. I had a situation where i needed the nurse to check on my grandmother because she was short of breath, and i overheard that nurse say too a stna that my grandmother had to wait she was passing her medication.
I was very upset, what if something was wrong, would she just lay there and die because the nurse couldn't take 5minutes to check on her. It is in my opinion that the Stna's pretty much do everything. They took very good care of her and i was very happy with that.
However I took this situation to the Floor supervisor and she said she would come and check my grandmother, but she never did.
Because of this i would not ever put another family member in this facility.
I always thought that medical staff was in this field to help people to the best of their ability however I was shown different in this situation.

Response: I know what your talking about and my aunt Died there and they didnt take care of her. she had pressure sores all the time. She was always in bed the never got her up. And out of all the nurses BARB on rehab is amazing, besides that they all can go you know where.
