2016. The rooms are not kept clean. The plumbing in the rooms and public restroom is scary. I gave had toilets over flow and not cleaned up for several days. I prayed today that one of toilets did not flow over the top. The aides spend a lot of time outside smoking. The food is terrible. If any one that really cares about their loved ones should start checking up on them and speak up. This place must have changes.

In short, my mom loves the food, the place is clean, and staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly. I wasn’t sure about the place at first, but after my experience for the first six months, I will never look back.

Clean, quiet facility located in a great community. Longevity of staff says a lot about the facility and those who work there.

You do not want to have a loved one reside at The Elms. It is understaffed and the individual rooms are not kept clean. The administrative staff's average age is 30, and while that can sometimes be a plus this group does not seem to have any understanding or empathy for the age group with whom they are dealing. They would prefer to have residence who simply sit and stare into space and wait to be told their next move. Not a pleasant atmosphere!

Response: The Hudson Elms Nursing Home is an excellent facility that is deficiency free by state standards. My parents and great aunt have both lived there and the care is top notch with very caring staff. The building is very homelike and the nurses always know my family by name - I would reccomend this building to anyone, especially my own family!
