I was admitted to Loveland Health Care back in December. My reason for this admission was that I had Resp. failure and was at the local hospital and needed some reconditioning after words. My family did not think I was going to make it, I hear that I was in pretty bad shape. When I was admitted I have a private room located on a hall only for rehab patients. The more acute patients where not mixed into the long term residents which made it easier for me to except being in a "Nursing Home". The nurses where great with explaining my care plans, the stna's where so responsive to answering my call light, the food was great, and it has a home like feel with a therapy team that is fantastic. I am so amazed with the care that I received. I will go back to this facility in the future! The management team is also committed to knowing all of the patients. All I can say is AMAZING

Assessment was good in the beginning. Suction equipment wasn't working and the staff worked to correct this issue. My mother has a trach and is post stroke. She needs a lot of help with heavy secretions which she is unable to handle alone at this time. She is in a heavier state of sleep due to pressure on her brain and has not regained her ability to swallow properly. I found out nurses were not very willing to help with suctioning and had to wait nearly an entire 12 hour shift before being suctioned. My mother returned to the hospital after a one week stay. She transferred to Loveland Health Care from a hospital where she was being treated for pneumonia in both lungs.
