I have been here for 20 days , and am leaving today 3/28/2013. I picked this home because its only a block away from my sons home. I made a good choice ! In the 20 days I was here I was served the same dinner only once every day it was something different. The food is/was very good. The nursing staff is some of the best I've been around. everyone will bend over backwards to help you here. I've been to other nursing homes in the area visiting sick relatives over the years and most smelled like urine. Not here, the cleaning staff work hard no nasty smells here. The setting here is quaint , they are investing 2 million dollars for upgrades they have a new ford bus to take residents out to eat and other activities. I am very happy with the physical therapists Missy and michelle I have nothing but good to say about Maplecrest ! Jon Long 814-350-0386

Description of Maplecrest Nursing Home in STRUTHERS, OH

    Built In 1960 , Number of Beds : 48

The staff at Maplecrest Nursing Home is ready to provide personalized in-home care whenever your loved one needs assistance. Providing a variety of helpful elder services, such as medication reminders, light housekeeping, and groooming assistance, in-home care professionals are available around-the-clock. Maplecrest Nursing Home also provides assisted living, in-home care and rehab. Assisted living is a care type that offers the same potential for excitement and opportunities as independent living, but always with an extra layer of security and help. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a more fulfilling life. With assisted living, you'll find senior-friendly living options and a dedicated staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, social programs, and local transportation are usually provided, too. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. Services are available twenty-four-hours a day, seven days a week. Home care includes various medical and non-medical support services. For many seniors, home care allows them to stay independent for as long as possible. An assisted living community provides help when necessary with the goal of supplying the services required to stay as autonomous as possible. In-home care is an option for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who would like to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
