Rude and self absorbed employees.

These comments are NOT based on one or two employees, this is years later and the employees are still snotty, stuck up, taking selfies, posting on social media how much they hate their jobs, and when I visited I heard a young employee with long redish brown hair call a resident the C word. That is unacceptable to treat anyone that way. It took me forever to find a way to contact someone above calling the facility itself, because I figured it would get brushed under the rug. I had to FB message them and got no response, so I turned them into the BBB. Then, of course, they responded to that and not me. They said the employee didn't work at the assisted living (I never said she did - it was the only way I could contact them) and various other snotty comments. I don't care where she worked. I heard it. I don't want some 19 year old calling my loved one ANY name. Discusting.

My parent have been in the rehab center several times. The first time it was great - no problems. The next time, no one was checking to see if bedding needed changed. I changed the bed myself. One day, souled sheets sat on the floor for eight hours. I finally dragged someone in and asked when they would be taking the sheets. Dirty dishes have a way of piling up in the sink area on weekends. Another time after a surgery, we checked in and after being there 3 hours, no one came to give pain meds. I finally went up and down each hall and finally found one nurse. She was surprised no one had been in to give my parent pain meds. Not sure where the assigned nurse went but she left her pill cart and patient charts out in the open dining area. Again, thus happened on a weekend. Physical therapists are great. Nursing staff is short handed.

I unfortunately used to work at this crap hole. I would never recommend anyone to work here or to live here. They treat there employees like crap, run them into the ground until they're drained. They fire good workers for the stupidest of reasons. The majority of the staff are rude and stuck up, they are rude and short to the residents. Most of the staff are more concerned with gossiping than caring for residents. The staff are constantly talking ill of the residents behind their back, I would never want my loved one being in a place like this. This is a horrible, horrible nursing home!! Remember just because a place might look nice, does not mean what goes on inside is good.

My mother is getting rehab after surgery here at Hampton Woods. When I first walked in at first glance it looked great. But then saw out in the open in the dining area patients charts laying out in the open That's HEPA violation 1. Then a staff member walked into the kitchen area took off her shoe scratch her foot and toes then grab ice! 2 My mother was forgotten in the bath room had to crawl back to her bed. 3 So today after leaving Hampton Woods at 6:30Pm and her night pills on the way I get a call from my mom at 9:45 she is in pain and no one has come in to give her anything. I go back up there they said someone had fallen and I guess that takes 3.15 to pick them up. This is the last straw.

This nursing home is very pleasing to the eye. It is very clean and bright. There is no "nursing home smell" and the atmosphere is more like a hotel than a nursing home. However, there are problems. The nursing staff seems to be constantly understaffed. There are a lot of nurses coming and going. Nurses aides seem to change weekly and are often hard to find. I have watched the quality of care decline over the past year, and hope that things can turn around soon or i may have to look into other facilities. The management is the problem i believe, for ive seen and heard the staff talking, and ive seen the problems they face, and believe they are doing the best they can with what the management is doing. Hopefully they will soon get some more experienced nurses with better bedside manners, and more aides. Its hard to watch people whove been with your parent since the beginning fall by the wayside and be replaced with lackluster workers.

Response: The problem is the management. They do nothing beyond sitting around during gossiping. The scheduler, a woman named Carla is completely useless. Trying to force the aids into working more than their mandatory schedules, giving no help, and allowing certain aids to do nothing because they are her friends or because if they don't get their way they throw a fit. The hard workers are treated like garbage and over worked in order to cover for the lazy. The d.o.n. does nothing as well. The problem goes all the way up to and including the owner whom only cares about pocketing money. There are no pay raises available for the employees, no penalties for rule breakers, and even so called personal time cannot be utilized in cases of family emergencies. They can't staff the existing facility properly, but are opening or just opened another newly built facility on grounds. This place should be shut down and the owner should face charges.

Wonderful activity dept. Nice and caring staff.

This is a case of one bad nurse and one bad aide causing bad ratings that affect the rest of the staff, and that's a shame. But when a nurse consistently refuses to change a full colostomy bag and an aide tosses a washcloth at a patient with a broken arm and expects the patient to wash herself..there's definitely a problem! Fortunately the "good" employees helped make up for the few bad ones.
The food is excellent. The therapy dept. is excellent. I would not take the time to complain at all if my mothers' health was not jeopardized on two occasions while a patient there. Once when her complaint of not being able to breathe were virtually ignored and it turned out she had pneumonia! And second when she was told she had a full oxygen tank when leaving for her Dr apptmt..and her tank was on empty only 2 hrs and 10 minutes later when she was still in the Dr's office! This is downright dangerous and steps need to be taken to make sure this never happens again.
