I've found the Senior Center to be filled with great volunteers, lots of activity and good food. My husband and I really enjoy going there and meeting up with friends for lunch or a movie.

I eat lunch at the Rainier Senior Center at least once a week. For a donation of $4.00 it is a real treat! The people are very nice and the food is excellent. I have never left hungry. On Mondays they have a live band and dancing. I was told the people who serve lunches are all volunteers. A great place with fun people!

We called to come and lunch on Monday the Oct 6th, what a disappointment. We won't be back. We were the last table to be served they ran out of food. My slice of ham was so thin and small your could see through it and the size of half dollar. The man next to me said I wonder if the could slice it any thinner, they took meals that had been placed in the freezer to complete the table my husband got a little more then I did and the gentleman next to me got more then my husband. Very little green beans and potatoes also, then we the cake came they forgot our table also. When it was brought out my piece of cake or should say frosting fit on one fork with nothing hanging off the fork. This was the problem in Clatskanie so we quit going there, if I am paying for lunch I don't want to leave hungry. I am not a big eater but this was bad. We came home and tore up the menu for the rest of the month told hubby I could of got a foot long Subway sandwich for $5.00 and the two of us always split it so we each have a 6 inch which we are stuffed after eating it without chips. We got more salad then we did beans and potatoes combined. Know there was a lot of people there but we had called in to let them know we would be there. You don't package up food before you serve it you do it afterwards to make sure people that are there get fed. A man came in after everyone was served not sure if he was doing meals on wheels but he was given a larger serving also, the kitchen staff all knew him. Won't recommend anyone to go to your center for lunch, not unless they eat first.
