I was sincerely disappointed in the care my mother received at Moravian Village this past spring. She was at the facility less than three days and caught an infection which contributed to and eventually led to her death with additional complications from heart disease. The one nurse on the floor was not helpful and the limited staff added to the lack of information. At night after the family left they gave my mother a shower in a very inhumane manner. My mother said, "They treat you like dogs." I would not recommend this facility or ever return.

nurses do not get to spend enough time with the patients, housekeeping rarely cleans the entire room daily, there are never any clean linens, there are not enough aides and nurses working, the food is not bad but is repeated weekly, price to stay there is way too expensive and the patients do not get what they are paying

Response: I wish I would have your read your review before placing my mother in this facility. It might have prolonged her life if she never caught an infection at this facility. Her time was limited on the Earth, but I strongly believe Moravian Village contributed to her problems rather than give her a better life. As a matter of fact, the facility had signs posted on doors related to infections. I would never place a loved one in this facility.

I had my aunt (like a mother to me) was there for rehabilitation. We had a tough start, because the move from the hospital was quick, and we did not have a lot of time to prepare. The staff was very friendly. They were busy the day of admission, but after a couple of days we settled her in well. Very compassionate care givers and excellent rehabilitation. I would send my mom there if she gets her knee replaced. My advice, if you can be there when they are brought it. It helps ease the anxiety.

My father is currently a rehab patient at Moravian Village. He has very advanced rheumatoid & osteoarthritis &, even though he can manage to do some things, does need help with certain functions. After sitting on the side of his bed for 1 1/2 hours, pushing the call bell repeatedly for help to finish dressing, he called me to come help him. In that 1 1/2 hours not one person answered his call bell, or came into the room to see what he needed. That is deplorable nursing care!!!!!

Response: Is your father still there? How did he recover?
