Skilled care at Menno Haven is the best in Chambersburg. The therapy staff are wonderful caring people who work hard to restore function and get people moving again. The nursing staff have been so kind and helpful to both resident and family during really difficult time in our loved ones life.

My Mom has been in MennoHaven for the past several years. I am sorry to say that the quality of care has declined during the past year, and the costs have risen significantly. MennoHaven has raised their daily rate to $280 a day for a private room, $267 for a semi-private. In addition, they bill for consumables that other nursing homes cover in their basic rate. Fifteen minutes of "restorative therapy" is an extra $14.40, and there are usually two of these a day for my Mom. The various departments at MennoHaven do not talk to each other. The providers don't know what the family is billed and the billing department has no idea what the line items on the bill mean. If you are thinking of placing your loved one at this facility, plan on spending a lot of time here doing the coordination between doctors, staff, and administration that doesn't happen any other way. Recently there has been a layoff, and the busy staff look stressed out. I'm sorry I don't have much positive to say.
