In April of 2007, we brought my mother, Bernice Quinn, to Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville. At the time she was in one of the apartments. Of course, when you do something like this, you worry about the care she is receiving. During the time she was in the apartment, she was constantly being checked on by the nursing staff and the administrators. One year ago, she was transferred to the unit where closer care is given. We continued to be amazed by the care given by the nursing staff. When she passed away on August 7, 2010, we was surrounded by a caring, loving staff. They could not do enough for her or for the family. Jean, Sharon, and the rest of the staff at Harrison went above the call of duty for our family and our Mother. I'll never forget their loving care, and they will forever be in my heart.

Offering skilled, warm assisted living, independent living and memory care services, Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville is located in a picturesque community. The assisted living program at Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville offers the same exciting life enrichment activities and freedom as that of the independent living residents, but seniors in assisted living receive an added layer of care and security. When they need a reliable hand with services like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine properly, it is there for them. Assisted living communities have many benefits. Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to more satisfaction with life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly apartments and a busy social calendar. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a plethora of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. You'll have your own private space, so you can bring your favorite furniture, photos, and cookware. You’ll be able to spend time pursuing activities that you enjoy since tasks commonly associated with homeownership will be taken care of. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. The staff at Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville has a special place in its collective heart for residents and their families who must deal, day by day, with the daily effects of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Alzheimer’s specialists work hand-in-hand with families, loved ones, and the Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville staff to ensure that residents receive the comprehensive treatment they need. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a team that is professionally trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment provide cognitive stimulation. Facilities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville helps seniors find the worry-free lifestyle they want. In this community, residents have comprehensive assisted living, independent living and memory care services, as well as a friendly, supportive community. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help when you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as self-sufficient as possible. When seniors are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Memory care necessitates a more direct level of care, brain games designed for memory enhancement, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. At Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville, seniors find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably.
