User Reviews

06/13/2016  -  An OurParents User Writes:

This facility is terrible. My mom laid in her bed 24/7/365 until we moved her to Golden Living Walnut Creek (about 6 months). They did not take care of her. She ate once a day occasionally 2 times. She slept 15-18 hours a day. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. My mom is now up and around enjoying herself again. Also she's eating 3 healthy meals a day.

According to a public website for PA Judicial matters you have a care giver going into an invalids home who has a criminal history plus an active bench warrant for a retail theft in 2013.

Brookside Homes is an assisted living facility. Assisted living facilities are an apartment-style habitat designed to focus on providing assistance with daily living activities. They provide a higher level of service for the elderly which can include preparing meals, housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, and also do regular check-in's on the residents. Basically, they are designed to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing home facilities. When thinking about how to pay for care, assisted living facilities are generally less expensive than nursing homes, if assisted living is a viable option for your loved one.

Also, Brookside Homes is a Micro community, which means it is a smaller senior community. It is a Personal Care Home. Some people prefer it for its smaller less institutional setting.

Also, Brookside Homes facility provides Alzheimer's care. This means it has special safeguards for wandering seniors, and caregivers are trained in handling dementia behaviors.

Also, Brookside Homes care provider provides hospice care. Hospice care is an infusion of home care and facility care provided to benefit terminally ill patients and support their families through their tough times.

We provide 3 to 1 caregiver to elder ratio in a residential setting that isn`t just like home, it is home.
