01/10/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: My mother did not receive proper care when at this facility. She is diabetic, had blood sugars over 400 (inconsitent). Developed blisters on her foot that got infected and were not treated. Facility does not have a good nutrition plan for diabetics. My mother ended up with a UTI infection, sore on her foot, confused because of high blood sugars. She ended up in the hospital. We felt her care was neglected and we sent her to a different facility after being discharged from hospital. At the family meeting in the nursing home, no nurse was available to answer medical questions. We never who was in charge and every nurse we talked to always said they didn't know anything about my mom, they were filling in temporarily. You had to constantly be on the staff to answer questions and many times they had no answers.
