I find the staff to be very caring and the facility is very clean.

Sadly, the much of the staff is unprofessional, uncaring, sometimes cruel, and usually unresponsive. A new administrator is in place, and she is attempting to address the many frightening deficiencies of this facility, but little discernible progress has been made. The physical therapy department is somewhat better.

I am a doctor . My Dad was here for several months. We were told by York Hospital that he would never recover. He is alive, well and free of all the ills that occurred when he was at one of the boutique facilities. He is in assisted living in Hanover - we culd not be more pleased.

This place used to be a decent place for my aged father, but now; it has gone downhill fast. My fathers room has had sticky substances on the floor for days, his hands are never clean, they may watch out for caring for any bedsores, but that is about it. The Physical Therapy department has changed over 3 times in the past six months and has gotten worse with each changeover. The CNA that is mostly on duty during the days is incredibly rude and nasty on many occasions and makes no apologies for her attitude.

Now, they have recently changed owners and have taken out all of the hand sanitizers that were in each residents room, being that most of these residents are not able to go to the restroom on their own and therefore able to wash their own hands; I would think that patients should be encouraged to wash or clean their hands on a daily basis. Not too long ago a cold virus went through the whole facility with the residents and the staff and many residents got pneumonia and a few sadly passed away, unable to fight the infection. The only staff that is helpful are the night time nurses and helpers, especially after dinner time is over.

If you are seeking in-home care services for a family member or a loved one, Barbara J Egan Nursing Rehabilitation has a highly trained staff of professionals available every day. Care professionals help seniors with personal care, daily activities, and respite. This facility also provides assisted living, independent living, in-home care and rehab. Offering help with the activities of daily living, along with health services, nutritious meals, and a range of other features, assisted living allows seniors to thrive. Why choose an assisted living community? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to more satisfaction with life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly apartments and a busy social calendar. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a plethora of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. You'll have your own private space, so you can bring your favorite furniture, photos, and cookware. You’ll be able to spend time pursuing activities that you enjoy since tasks commonly associated with homeownership will be taken care of. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Home care offers many medical and non-medical support services. In-home care allows seniors to stay as independent as possible in their own homes. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help when you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as self-sufficient as possible. When seniors are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. In-home care is there for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who want to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Call today and discover how Barbara J Egan Nursing Rehabilitation is the perfect fit for seniors requiring assisted living, independent living, in-home care and rehab services.
