I can not say enough good things about the staff at Summer Villa. They are always there to help when needed. My sister has been a resident at Summer Villa for several years. This is the place that she was proud to call home. She never said an ill word about this place and was always happy living there. Some people have stated that this is a poor place well I don't see it. My sister could not live at home with us due to her behaviors but staff was trained to care for her making her feel that she belonged and that she always had support. I don't think anyone gives this facility the appreciation that they deserve. They have had 2 fires there and had sent this person to the hospital and the hospital sent her back. I do not blame Summer Villa for this I blame the hospital. During the fire staff made sure that each resident got out of thw building safe and that they all felt safe. One of the employees even gave up his shoes and his sweatshirt to make 2 of the resident comfortable. With all of the verbal abuse that the staff goes through on a daily basis its a wonder thatthe staff enjoy working there and stay. They still treat each resident with respect and dignity that they deserve. I love this facility and wouldn't take my sister any where else.

I can't say anything bad about Summer Villa. The staff is wonderful. They are kind and compassionate people. They have some tough residents that live there and they always treat them with respect and dignity. It is true one of the requirements to be able to live ther is that you need to be able to self evaluate in case of a fire. And I have no idea what the other person is talking about they have fire drills all the time to make sure everyone can get out safely. My aunt gets so mad that they have so many. The staff also goes above and beyond daily for the residents that live there. They have activities at night that the residents enjoy, they have a fire pit, cookouts weekly, outdoor activities weekly. The staff at summer Villa treat all of the residents azfamily

I have family members that reside there and I have no idea what these people r talking I have never been in a place where there is so much love and caring for the residents it is more of a family than a assisted living ,it seems to me that the review this person is giving seems to be some sort of cruel joke. They have the best staff that I have seen in A long time and my family members have been in a few residents across the state .

there is nothing good about this place. they have an RN name Denise who runs the place, she doesn't know what the word confidentiality means nor does hermet text seeing a med techs at that Rachel ,Diane for they all talk about the patient's and sit outside and have cigarettes they could care less who is in the building. Denise the RN the only RN in that building is only there in the mornings or days. there is no I ran on 24 7 like they say on the website there is no wheelchair access, they say that if they can't get around themselves then it's their problem they don't do wheelchairs. there's no code red in action, in case of a fire drill or a fire. The RN Denise states it one for all and all for one. That's how they feel about your loved one. Michelle is the owner it's too bad she allows these people to just run it like this. the scene a med techs a horrible the way they talk besides the fact that not all rains which should be there for the patient or the residence. I don't know how this place stays open the Department of Health should go in there in the nursing board to go in there and I can't understand how she keeps her RN license. all they are is about the money because the rooms are disgusting just as much. they don't have a good beds they don't have good blankets they don't have good pillows they don't have good sheets nothing new or they don't buy anything new in there to help them. They either sit outside and smoke cigarettes all night what they said in the office with the AC all night. if you really love your loved one or you have nowhere to bring them find a different assisted living don't go to this place

Response: None of this is true I have a loved one in the facility and it is great I visit her all the time and she says she loves it there also. The staff is very pleasant to deal with and I have never had a problem. And FYI I've seen the office there is no AC and my grandmother's room is very neat with good blankets and sheets that they provide so clearly this is someone who was fired or something of the sort.

Nothing like about this place. May look good from inside but inside is horrible living conditions. They say 24 hour rn on duty when in fact only a cna med techs are on cause the rn only stays in mornings. Staff trained for one shift, then on your own. Not one caregiver experienced. They hire retail employee's that have no training. Don't help residents, feel they are there to help themselves. Sit outside most of time smoking and are not professional. I have no code Red meaning any fire xscape but to me to cross the street, was told if there's a fire is one for all and all for one you help yourself not the residents. would you really like your loved one in this type of place where they don't want to help and somebody would actually stay with them burn in to save themselves. this place is poorly run, wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. cannot see how this place passes and stays open.

Response: Mad because Summer Villa fired you. Maybe if you did your job you would still have one. I know who you are and you have your CNA licence that they should take away. You lied about giving snack to residents and you were also rude to residents. They complaind and did not want you working in there home that is why you were let go. We hope the best for you.
