It is my understanding from people that work there and patients, that there are not certified or licensed employees including nurses/employees around the clock to take care of the patients properly. Due to poor management and oversight, the disadvantaged, elderly, and any senior will suffer. The salaries are terrible, according to current employees, and there is always a problem with keeping good people around. After touring the facility, it is not up to standards; odor, bugs, general attitudes from everyone, they hate their job and will leave to seek other opportunities. There is never enough help. Stay away, go somewhere else with your loved ones. The place is going downhill fast.

The part where you get therapy is ok. But if you are in the older part for staying permanently you will need a 24/7 air freshener in your room. The halls reak of urine and bowel movements. The absolute worse smelling nursing home I have visited and I have visited there many times. I have also visited other nursing homes frequently. This one wins the prize for bad smells.

My 86 year old mother was admitted to Conway Manor with a fractured pelvis. An operation or a cast could not be used. She required physical therapy to regain her mobility.

The PT staff was tremendous to get my Mom up and moving around. The 20 day treatment period had Mom going from a wheel chair to leaving the facility using a walker. Today, six weeks later, Mom is learning to negotiate walking with a cane.

All of the staff was supportive, encouraging, sweet, and firm when working with Mom. This has played a key role to have Mom back on her feet.

Thank You to everyone at Conway manor.
