Response: I used to work at this facility in 1992 and it was SUPPOSED to be one of the best in the state; if it was one of the best I would hate to see what one of the worst was. I was working towards getting my CNA license, but never completed it since they fired me before I could; they were afraid that I would tell what I knew to the family members of a resident who passed away there. The lady had become impacted because some of the other CNA's were not posting about her bowel movements properly. The day she died I was supposed to be caring for her and when I went in to see about getting her up for her shower she was burning up with fever, and obvious that she was in a lot of discomfort. I had to DEMAND that one of the other CNA's go get the head nurse; she sent the CNA back to me with a rectal thermometer. I took the lady's temp twice to make sure I was seeing what I thought I saw..and then I sent the other girl BACK AGAIN to get the head nurse. By the time the doctor arrived it was too late, and I was given strict orders to stay away from the family. There was another patient there who suffered from dementia who would wipe herself after a bowel movement with paper towels and throw them on the floor between the wall and the toilet..now this would have been bad enough if she had, had a private bathroom..but she didn't...she shared it with 3 other women. I went in one day and the bathroom was full of these dirty paper towels and housekeeping refused to clean it before their lunch. UNBELIEVABLE. I saw more than one patient suffer in that hell hole and I made up my mind that my parents would NEVER be placed in one of those places. There was SUPPOSED to be surprise inspections, but somebody always warned them ahead of time when they were about to be inspected; otherwise this facility would have been closed years ago.

This is a nasty place,I have spent many hours at this center with my father and never saw any cleaning or smelled any cleaning products being used,I have been here day and night and only saw them get trash out of the room nothing else

If you love your family member look elsewhere for care. They have changed ownership - Under the provious owners there seemed to be some level of care - now there is none. Run don't walk to another facility
