Someone please tell me how the word "skilled" was added to the "skilled nursing" facility. Some may be skilled in "something" but it' s not nursing. We allowed hospice to put my mother there --- but we removed her the next day---- 3rd and 2nd shift was horrible. They came in once on 3rd to change her and wrapped her hands in her pants!! I want to know how to report these people for other " major" infractions. It should be against the law for them to be in business. Plus... My mother was not Medicare care which sometimes get lesser care . She was put in a room with a women that screamed every word she spoke. My mothers bed was in an area about 12 by 12 and head of her bed was against the wall and her feet against the other persons curtain and only room for one chair beside her bed and was up. How can they be put out of business? If you have any information on this facility please post it her and on their web site. I'm gathering info on them.

I just found out my sweet aunt is in this place. She is one of the best people I know. Worked all her life and could stay anywhere. She has the finances but her family sticks her here. What a disgrace. One day they will get their reward.

WARNING: Do NOT live here! Air conditioning has been out seven times in the past three months for days at a time. Pipes overhead frequently burst filling apartments with water. Roto Rooter should be on grounds permanently as they are there every week. Water also bubbles up on ground floors.

No preventive maintenance is conducted and repeated attempts must be made before anyone responds to requests. Most of us have to perform our own maintenance.

Lots of promises made which are never delivered

Nursing unit is reminiscent of nursing homes thirty years ago.

Response: YOU ARE ABSOULUTLEY CORRECT VERY DANGEROUS HIGH DOLLAR PLACE YOUR BETTER OFF IN A MEDICARE MEICADID FACILITY WHERE YOU HAVE LICENCED RNS AND CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANCES

Sales staff paints a very different picture from the reality. Very run down and unclean in certain sections. Badly stained carpet. I've heard residents in AL complain of nothing to do. Activities are listed on calendar, but I have not seen residents get any encouragement to participate. Advertising states handicapped accessibility. That applies so some rooms but not all. If you need more handicapped provisions, be prepared to pay for it yourself.
I have made several calls to upper management regarding problems, and have never had the courtesy of a return call. In conversations in person, one person in charge will tell you one thing, but the next person in charge will tell you the opposite. Very frustrating. I have visited the Memory Care unit. The staff is friendlier and that area is cleaner. That unit appears to keep residents more engaged than AL Assisted Living feels like a holding place to die instead of a place to enhance one's elder years.

FILTHY THE STAFF JUST LETS THE RESIDENTS SIT IN THEIR OWN WASTE. THE DO NOT FOLLOW PROPER POLICIES AND PROCEDURES THEY DO NOT MIND THE PATIENTS AND HAVE EVEN MIXED UP MEDS CAUSING MY LOVED ONE TO BE RUSHED TO THE EMERGANCY. PLEASE ANYONE THINKING OF PUTTING THEIR LOVED ONES THERE DONT I WISH I NEVER HAD AND NOW I CAN NOT FIX IT

DO NOT put your loved ones in this disgusting, filthy place where the only thing they care about is the bottom line dollar. There are too many falls by the eldery because no one helps them to the restrooms. Depends are tossed into garbage bins in their bedrooms with no liners and they sit there for days. The smell of uring is overwhelming. The are cockroaches. You can never reach anyone on the phone. The aides are lazy and sit at the nurse's stations on their cell phones and God forbid you should need help with anything and interrupt them. The place is very run down and forget about aksing for anything to be repaired. So do yourselves a favor and do not put your loved ones in there. Look for a place where that really cares about their welfare.

Response: I AGREE! AWFUL PLACE!!!! EVERY WORD OF THIS STATEMENT IS TRUE!

Response: please if you loved your family, look other place, skylyn place is very bad and very durty, people not care the residents. all employers is very lazy.
