05/23/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: This home is not a home it is a torture chamber for you loved one. They do not take people to the bathroom when they need to go and at night call lights are on for an hour. There is no one at the desk or on the hallway or in the rooms. Find a better place.

Response: This is a Government owned Facility that is the only reason it has a 5 star rating from Medicare also a Government entity. If you had a loved one there an checked on them regularly you would find the conditions are deplorable!

09/08/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: This facility does not watch its residents very well. there is no one at the desk or in the hall on night shifts. I recieved copies of medicines given early on and got copies when I left. the iinformation on the early on detail did not match the leaving copies for the same dates!!!

Response: I agree. When my father was a resident there, he was entered for observation after an illness. Then he fell and broke his hip while there. Rather than assist him to the toilet, he was instructed to wet or poop himself and they would change his bed. Totally disgusting. When he was unable to get out of bed, he could not brush his teeth. NO ONE would assist him with that or any other personal care. My father was a man who took pride in himself and was totally shocked with the late of personal attention he rec'd there. Speaking to ANYONE in supervisor and even the facility director did no good. It is simply a warehouse for veterans. A terrible same the way they treat veterans. Fortunately, we removed him from the facility.

12/18/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: they leave my father in bed all day and night and dont take him out im bring him home and anyone who has someone there should do the same

Response: My Father is in the hospital on a vent because they did not assist in his feeding of a snack and he aspirated. He had four falls that I know of and they said they left a message on my phone to tell me when there was none. This is a horrible facility for Veterans care!
