If you don't care about your loved one's overall wellbeing and health care, particularly if they can't speak for themself, then Ashton Place Memphis is the perfect place for you. They didn't communicate anything regarding my father's progress. He digressed rather than progressed under their care. He did have SOME caring nurses and CNA's. As with any facility, they had some very good and passionate staff that really cared about the patients. But there were also a few that were only there to draw a paycheck. My family's experience with Ashton was horrible. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I can't believe Amber is still there. We experienced the very same thing. I'm surprised they are still operating. I am praying for the residents and patients currently there. I am also planning to write a detailed complaint about my experience to the appropriate governing body/agency. It is my sincere prayer that no one else experiences what we did.

Response: Ha

Response: This place is a joke trust me the DON doesn't care and makes her staff work short all the time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't bring your loved ones here

Response: I worked there as a maintenance man worse place i have ever work , I would not put a family member in that place

This has been my families' personal experience. This is my opinion based on how badly we were treated. The administrator at Ashton Place name Jo is horrible. She has no interest in the families or patients. It's all about profit. She treated our mother and family with such disrespect and disregard for humanity. The social worker, Amber, is a joke. She is not a patient advocate. She is just a patsy for Jo the administrator. They have a psych nurse there name Valerie who functions as a doctor. She just wants to dope up the patients and if you dont let her, then she along with Jo the administrator ships them off to one of the most horrible hospitals in Memphis, Delta Medical Geriatric psych ward. They make up diagnosis so they can sedate them more and more. The nursing director Kim tried to offer assistance, but as soon as Jo got wind, she flipped like a switch. Jo walks around using her position as director to intimidate patients families. There is always the threat of her kicking your loved one out even when they arent doing anything. The more involved a family is with their loved one the more problems you will have from Jo, Amber , Valerie and Kim. The ancillary staff is nice. That includes housekeeping, floor nurses, CNA, physical theray, recreational theray, and admissions. Jo intimidates them on a daily basis; and they are in fear of always losing their job. JO ABUSES HER POWER OF AUTHORITY and her interpersonal skills do not exist for patients and families. I hear that some of her nice employees in admissions have left. As a tax paying citizen who pays federal and state taxes, no one person should have the ability to lie to families and tell them they have no choice in the care and decision making of their loved one. And once she kicks the patient out, she will lie to all the other nursing home facilities and try to keep them from accepting them. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW AGAINST THIS.

Response: You are so right anybody can call me and I will tell them what they did to my dad. He got killed up there June 30,2012 The staff lied and said he had a brain stroke so not true. They sent him straight to the funeral home instead of the hospital and they got him creamated in 3days so we couldn't do a autopsy. 901-289-2264
