since selling to the new company, the look of the place has gone downhill - looks institutional now instead of even the outdated homey it was before. Patient care is lower now, and while not bad, definitely sad to see it is no longer the nursing home that we chose - but very very uncaring and institutional.

My father had a stroke and stayed at Victoria Nursing home for closed to 3 months. During his stay, a number of accidents happened - since he had a stroke and was unable to speak and eat, he has to have a feeding tube. On numerous occasions, they forgot to reattach the feeding tube. One time, it was so serious that he was admitted to emergency room due to the mistake. To avoid being liable, they blamed my father for pulling his feeding tube out. They dislocated his shoulders and because he was not able to speak, he could not complain. The care was very neglected - only when we show up at the nursing home, they would show up to take care of him. Otherwise, he indicated that despite calling for help, they don't show up for at least 2 - 3 hours later.

We now decide to move him out of the nursing home to have home care at home because we cannot trust the care at this nursing home. I would strongly recommend that you check carefully on the review and rating and not sending your parents to this nursing home
