Small rooms subject to urine smells daily, scant on drawers, shared bathroom, staff eats food provided for residents, high turnover in CNAs. No activities, overpriced and understaffed, residents not looked after as they should be

Description of Christian Care Senior Living Community - Lakewood Village in Ft. Worth, TX

    Number of Beds : 48

Supplying assistance with everyday activities, along with health services, nutritious meals, and a range of other conveniences, assisted living allows seniors to thrive. Why choose an assisted living community? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a happier life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly residences and a warm staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are autonomous but want to be in the company of your peers, choose indepedent living and enjoy amenities and services geared towards seniors. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with an abundance of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, regular memory enhancement programs, and social opportunities, all in a secure, warm setting. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a dedicated staff that is skilled in techniques unique to memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment encourage mental stimulation. Grounds typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Home care consists of various medical and non-medical support services. Home-care services are divided into two types. The first is a skilled service provider, typically a professional nurse or licensed therapist who can manage certain medical concerns or rehabilitation needs. The second, more common, type of in-home care is supplied by an assistant who can help with daily activities, such as meal prep, transportation, and grooming, and who can offer emotional support and companionship. There are medical and non-medical professionals ready to help with a wide range of services. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help as you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as autonomous as possible. When seniors are autonomous but want to be in the company of peers, choose indepedent living and enjoy a variety of amenities and services. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, brain games designed for memory enhancement, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. In-home care is helpful for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who prefer to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Seniors find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably at Lakewood Village.
