My father was there for rehab after a recent hip surgery. I couldn't believe how wonderful the experience was. The staff was great!!! Anytime he needed anything, they were there to help. The Rehab Team got him up and moving in no time. I am thankful to Prairie Estates for all that they did for us.

Thank you Prairie Estates. I found my mom on the floor with a broken leg. We ended up at a hospital in Frisco where she had surgery. Since she had nobody at home she need a place to go to get stronger. I chose Prairie Estates and it was the best decision I ever made. the nurses were great and attentive to her needs and the folks in the exercise area were wonderful. Mom is now back home and doing great.

This is one of the most horrible places to leave a loved one. Patients are neglected, dirty and medication is not given on time and sometimes wrong medication is given. It really needs to be under new management. The only reason I give 1 star is because there is nothing lower. I would give negative 1000 stars.

I was in the unfortunate and difficult situation to shop for a rehab facility for my father. Whitout going in any details on his clinical condition, he needed 2 to 3 weeks of physical therapy and occupational therapy. He was extremely weak and needed constant assistance and supervision.
Of course, I want the best for my father and going to this places I didnt know what questions to ask or what to expect. I toured several facilities and regardless of some negative comments I read on this website, I have to say that the staff in Prarie Estates made me feel informed and comfortable. My dad loved the flexible schedules in rehab, nursing staff could be somewhat late while answering our call lights, but we were always taken care of in less than 5 minutes, which is not bad at all. I would recommed this facility to anyone looking for couple weeks of rehab.

My mom was just released from Prairie Estates. Her stay was wonderful. I like the fact she saw the same physical therapy people everyday. I only had one concern and the head of nursing came to her room and walked me through the process so I could understand as this was my first time will a skilled nursing home. I appreciate that she is home and doing well. I would really recommed to anyone.

My sister is currently in Prairie Estates and we really like the care she is receiving. The staff is very nice and helpful. We would recommend it to our friends.

This place is not a place to leave a parent or any member of the family. No attention is given to make sure the patient is kept hydrated, and they will leave their meal on the table and not wake the patient up. The training of the care givers are not that of quality. I lost my mother due to negligence on the part of the staff at this facility. Do not let the same thing happen to you. It is heartbreaking. I am suffering great remorse for leaving her in the care of people I thought were trained.

The facilities appearance seems to be very nice and clean. Once you are a resident, the staffing is short, rude and disrespectful. You have to wait hours for care after you have called for a nurse. Would not recommend for a loved one.

Truly treated like family! The admin staff is excellent at handing any concerns we had... you can tell they appreciate their staff and it's reflected in the care.

    Response: I totally agree

Response: the admin staff is not the ones who take care of the residents though. your nursing director and nurses are! Keep that in mind.

this facility needs supervision.there are no rules, and anyone that's available will,do jobs they are not educated.

it looks like a nice place and in some ways I guess it is...but my friend who is there has fallen numerous times and has been soaked in urine many times as well. to me that is just disgusting. they need to really pay attention to the patients there more...not impressed at main complaint is the nursing staff...

My Mom went to this facility for rehab after a broken hip. We were so excited to bring her home for Christmas!!! Mom is in the best shape I have seen her in years. This was a great facility with great staff.

My father was a patient at Prairie Estates after he suffered a stroke at home. My family and I found the staff to be caring and truly devoted to seeing my father recover from his stroke as fast as he could. I do not believe he would have recovered as quickly as he did had it not been for the caring individuals that assisted him at Prairie Estates. I always left each night feeling he was receiving the best care in an incredible environment that seems to promote recovery and wellness. The Therapists took the time to get to know Dad, and the nurses seemed to really show compassion towards him and all the other patients. My father is home now, enjoying each day with my mom and their dog. I would highly recomend this facility to anyone looking for a rehab facility.

Prairie Estates is a fine facility. There were many employees who cared for my mother and gave her the best of care. There are many exceptional people there and their outstanding care and service should be recognized. Prairie Estates runs smoothly and efficiently with excellence. There is good service and good management. I was very grateful to have such a beautiful and well managed care facility for my mother.

I am thankful for the staff and good care my mother received while at Prairie Estates. While there may always be a few “hick ups” now and then, over all I am well satisfied with the care. While my mother was there, I was impressed with the kindness and caring of the staff who served her day in and day out. Each time that I have had a question about something or an issue to discuss with someone, I have been treated with every courtesy and kindness and the issues have always been dealt with in a kind and timely manner. I also like the fact that they really do keep up the appearance of not only the outside, but the inside of the building by regularly painting those high traffic areas. I love the beautiful flower outside and also in the dining room on the tables. I greatly appreciate all the employees and would highly recommend Prairie Estates. They have caring and capable staff.

Response: how odd that ALL of the good reviews are on the same day within a few mins. of each other. must be the staff writing them.

Response: You might be right about that...I live here and have been tossing around the idea of leaving this facility. I just am tired of abuse...not physical mind you...just the "don't give a shoot" attitude from management. But because I am physically weakened, not mentally, this provides a problem for the facility. I can reply to all the stuff that isn't right and do on occasion. This presents a problem for them and they return the favor by placing the worst of the worst next to me. I can't rest anymore at night, all the screaming and falling, the ruckus they present. Yes, this isn't the first...try the second in months. I think they are trying to force me to leave without actually saying the words. I love my Dr. though. Oh well, what to do?

Response: I have a parent there at this time and am not satisfied with the care they are receiving either. It looks nice but the staff is pretty bad.

I was very disapointed. My wife spent 2 weeks here and I had to take off from work from time to time to assist and care. I asked the team of doctors McPhuddy,Shalamar, & Muhummad to fill out a 4 line excuse from my employer to document my wife was in this facility and to keep my job. Instead, I was sent a heartless letter saying they would not do it. I called several times, left messages, asking doctors to call me back. I was totaly ignore. I would not put my worst enemy here. No star for rating.

Communication with the Staff is difficult at best; facility cleanliness leaves alot to be desired. I certainly would not recommend this Facility!!!

This facility looks and feels like an excellent place to have a loved one... But be aware that there have been incidences where a loved one was greatly hurt and KILLED by the hands of the staff. I know because I lossed a loved one because of their negligence.
