Activities don't always occur, they do not give "choice" at meals, they will gladly charge you for extra services like "stand by shower assist" but not perform the service, several times they have handed my mothers medication to someone else in the room to give to my mom ( my mom is of sound mind) and once to a lady in the elevator to give to my mom, I have taken laundry home to do, because even though hey agreed to do it at 7.00 a load they never did the laundry. I found medications in her pockets ( several medications, several pockets on at least four different occasions), after four requests to have a light bulb changed in her room so she can find her way to the restroom at night she fell three times hitting her head, bruising her hip and breaking her finger. After bringing her back from the hospital and changing the bulb myself, they sent someone to change the bulb. In the middle of his I had been in contact with the VP and regional director to get issues ( including he bulb) resolved and they ultimately appear to be as dismissive as he ED. Now I have a sitter with my mom until I find a safe place for her.

This facility is beautiful, but they are completely understaffed and because of this, the service and care for the elderly suffers greatly. My mother has been there for a short time and it has been awful. They have screwed up her meds, given meds in an untimely manner, the food is not good, and they have failed to give her showers as requested. They failed to explain to me how to get things scheduled there, which is though the nurse. But she is also pretty unresponsive. She doesn't return calls. And she had nothing to say when I addressed the screwed up meds. They are a company that is apparently more concerned about profits than people.

Response: Same company that a licensed nurse stood by and didn't give CPR nor ask anyone for help. Pathetic, yes.

Same as every other pathetic facility. Put on a good show to get you in there but the reality is that when no one is looking, caregivers don't give a crap about your relative. Neglectful, even abusive. Horrible attitudes. Lots of lip service, little action. Don't think your mother or grandmother will be well-taken care of here. If you can manage to hire someone to come in and take care of them in your own home, that is the best and most affordable care you can get. And cameras, people. Surveillance cameras. Get 'em, use 'em and good luck!!
