My family member has been here for over a year. I visited several facilities prior to her going there and felt comfortable with the facility before placing her there. Are they perfect? No. I recently had an issue regarding something that seemed to be taking too long to resolve. After calling corporate, it was resolved within 4 hours. I'm confident that the changes in senior management will only improve this facility.

My grandmother was at Legend Oaks for a while and we never had a problem with the building or the staff. The aides were friendly, helpful, attentive and knew every body which lets me know they are a friendly facility. All the staff smile and greet you, the front office staff is INCREDIBLE! The place always smells clean and looks great. In the 6-7 months that he has been there we have had NO complaints and the patient care is outstanding. Please visit the facility and meet with the staff before making any decisions because everyones point of view is different.

Today an elderly woman in a wheel chair from the facility had managed to wheel herself onto oncoming traffic on West road. Cars were swerving to miss her and she was lucky to not have been hit by cars. I stopped and notified the nurses what happened and they had no idea that she had left. It took a long time to even get someone to look at me. They saw me come in but walked off. I had to yell that a woman was in the street almost getting hit by cars before they responded and did something. Luckily another car blocked all traffic and we were able to get her out of the way. A group of staff came up and thanked us, but made it appear as if it was not a big deal. I told them that they needed to keep a closer watch on her and that it was unacceptable what happened to her. They got very defensive and truly acted as if it was not not any of my concern and was nothing to be concerned about. I feel horrible for that woman and her family. She could have died. They are NOT doing their jobs and I do NOT recommend this place for your loved ones. PLEASE find another place or there is a chance you could loved your loved ones to a car hitting them because the nurses were not doing their job.

Speaking on behalf of my mother. Was treated terribly up to and including receiving an infection in the surgery area which required additional hospitalization. She will not be returning to Legend Oaks.Nurse staff did not follow specific instructions given by the Doctor.

Management needs to go. My dad falls many times, unit managers are lazy. Yells and belittle the nurses under them.

Response: Im sorry that you didnt find this facility a professional , caring place into which to have your loved one admitted to. I worked there for a lil over a year.....was not happy @ all. Iam now reviewing customer reviews before even thinking of applying for employment. Unfortuneatly "most" long term care facilities are just like this one. I Can tell you one thing , State is not doing their JOB!!
