Never trust this facility with the welfare and comfort of a loved one. Our Mother required full time care as of July 9th due to a terminal illness diagnosed with several months to live; however, she did not receive appropriate care from day one. The nursing staff appears to be plentiful but they are lazy and useless. Even though family visited daily at various times of the day, the level of care did not change. It is obvious this is a for-profit business that spends no funds on decent equipment for the patients. They charge Medicare for the use of an appalling wheelchair without foot rests and leaves black marks on the patients arms due to crude repairs. Our Mother had to be rushed to the emergency room 2 weeks after admission due to severe bed sores, dehydration and pneumonia. Bishop Davies Nursing Center is an absolute dreadful place that needs to be shut down.

My mother was admitted to this facility 9/14/2012, she was released 9/21/2012. During this time my mother had only 1 bath, received only one day's worth of the prescribed protien shakes and vitamins the doctor ordered. She was ambulatory when she arrived, and was only to need a fews days of extra therapy to get her increase her strength and stability. The head of nursing was confronted on Day 6 why her care was not better, who became very defensive and deceptive. Saying that my mother needed to stay longer because she had a low grade fever.....her fever was only taken on Day 1. She was adimant that she had not received the order for protien and vitamins, while my mother's doctor had confirmation that the order was received by the facility. A family meeting was scheduled to determine discharge on Day 7, but was later cancelled when the conversation of legal counsel would be sought. The meeting would require the medical chart to be available and apparently so many items were missing and would prove the actual care on the center's behalf. This facility is not qualified to take care of anyone.
